These CD's aim to help students improve their pronunciation of
North American English by giving them the opportunity to listen to
and imitate native speakers pronouncing word lists, sentences, and
conversations, all chosen to improve students grasp of the teaching
points in each unit. The five CDs contain from three to six
listening/speaking exercises for each of the 60 units in the
accompanying book. Together with the book exercises they address
all the important elements of spoken English: speech sounds,
consonant clusters, stress and rhythm, sounds in connected speech,
intonation, sounds and grammar, and pronouncing written words.
