1861. Now first published from a manuscript in the British Museum,
dating somewhere in the latter portion of the 15th century. This
work is not put forward as entirely new to Freemasons. Various
versions of the history and articles are found in public libraries
and in print. Much that occurs in these pages has been long
obsolete; still, the principles of the Craft in those early days
are mainly still our own at present time; and if this little book
induces any brother Mason to take up the search for like valuable
testimonies to the antiquity of the Order, the labors of such will
be nowhere more warmly hailed than by the Editor.
