Amazingly, Matthew Reilly has come up with the impossible. His usually fast-paced novels have now become even faster. Whereas Ice Station and Area 7 were set mainly in fixed locations, with the Marines battling hostile forces while inside, this time around, Schofield and his team are criss-crossing the globe racing from one hair-raising cliffhanger to the next. From Russia, to Afghanistan, to London, to France, and more, the thrills keep on coming.

As usual, the storyline doesn't suffer at all because of the frenetic pace, and there are much surprises in store for loyals fans of the series. As well as a particularly nasty little twist that will leave you mind-boggled for weeks to come.
