I have this product connected to my TV, sound bad, Wi-Fi Rooter and LED light. works phenomenally, it changes over automatically when there is load shedding and the battery lasts forever - after 4 hours of load shedding the battery is still at 98%!!! in addition it has USB ports to connect and charge your phone! The price for pure sine wave is also amazing, would highly recommend!.

This was my best purchase. I am using it in the office. When the power goes off, the inverter clicks in immediately. I am running a desktop, lamp and phone off of it. It is so silent. Not as noisy as the the other brand in the other office. I would recommend it to anyone.

Really handy

We got this just in time for the stage 6 loadshedding disaster. It was quick and easy to get it up and running, and the batteries were even charged. We use it for the office wifi router, some laptops and a few monitors. Seamless switch when the power goes. I did worry about the load icon on the LCD display that did not register anything, so I contacted Mustek, who responded that it will only show from beyond 50% of the load. I tested this with a toaster and it works. Well worth the cost (which is not high compared to other options).

This is the biggest load of junk I've ever bought. When the power goes off, everything first loses power, THEN the unit kicks in, but my monitor starts flickering as it loses and gains power when running on battery. My PC reboots, because the power was interrupted.

Many reviews. You can read them. I ll add some detailed tech stuff . Solid unit. Battery is a Gel 100ah, and has a resting voltage of 12.78v before plugging it in. Has pwn solar charger, but limited in wattage but Acceptable. Fan is quite and smart Easy to use. Instructions are auto translated. Could build it cheaper at the older process we got it at.

But the compact, neat and smart design makes it an exceptional product. Well built, sturdy wheels and handles. Also easy to open battery compartment when it needs to be replaced in a few years.

Beautiful unit

It comes with a 100ah battery, which a lot of inverters at this price does not. It was frikken heavy. But once it is on its wheels you can easily move it around. Since it is only a 1kw unit, I had to calculate the amount of wattage we will need to carry 2 x work laptops, 2 x 24inch monitors and a access point. Honestly, it works like a charm. You can easily do 4 hours of load shedding. If you plan on using a desktop, or gaming rig. Make sure you do your calculations correctly. 1kw is not a lot for bigger desktop power supplies. But for 70watt laptops this works great. Also, if you need more power. you can hook up another 12v 100ah battery and even a solar panel. The fan runs constantly on wall and battery power, but is not too noisy, you can mute the alarm when the power drops and you can switch between wall input or battery input when the power is still on. To help keep the battery healthy when there is no load shedding. Manual is very basic, but helps. Loot has the best price.

The unit is a lot smaller than I expected. The build quality seems good & we've used it to run our TV through a couple of load shedding. All good! Has a mute function which is nice. The display on the side has all the good info on it, I would have liked to see the Load in Watt instead of percentage. The load meter only starts at 25% which is not a big deal, but still. No assembly was required. The battery was fully charged on arrival. Speaking about arrival, it is heavy (45kgs), but the wheels work nice. Wheels have locks as well. I was impressed with the unit and would buy it again.

This 1kW Mecer Pure Sine Wave plug & play inverter is a well manufactured, user-friendly piece of equipment and more than adequate to power the necessary devices at my home office, which include my Desktop PC, 2 x Laptop PC's, a Printer, a Router, 2 x LED lights and the TV during load shedding and that for the full 2,5 hours of load-shedding. This inverter is technically a fantastic electronic design. It has all the features of an excellent inverter, including a Gel battery, incredible stable Voltage and power output. Switching over from mains to battery power is seemless without any hiccups. The cooling fan is very quiet. The extra Voltage outputs are unique (2x 5V and 2x 12V) supplies, useful for charging phones, tablets as well as connecting dash cameras which use 12V. This is handy when downloading dash cam videos. Mecer Battery Inverter - really very good

Haven't had this for long, but so far it is living up to expectations. It was bought to keep my laptop, extra monitor and printer going during loadshedding. The battery was fully charged already and all I needed to do was unpack the unit, attach the handles and plug everything in. First loadshedding, it switched over to battery power with no dip on my appliances. Assuming it continues working like this, it will have been the best purchase this month. Ah, also, it is portable so can be used when travelling if needed. And can be charged from solar panels.

So far, so good! I'll have to see how the battery lasts over time of course. It is straight forward and easy to use. Plug the inverter in, flick a switch and it's ready to go. If it wasn't for the 3 little beeps it makes when the power goes off, you cannot tell that the power has gone off!

I’ve already has similar products b4. But am really happy with this purchase. It rectifies the power for sensitive electronics, being pure sine wave, having the ability to add another battery to extend the capacity and even add solar panels. That’s a great bonus. The fan can be a little noisy for sensitive people, but imo I’d rather have my electronics protected than be buying replacements when damaged from the constant interruption from load shedding and the instability of the mains .

Connected wifi, laptop, one lamp and TV to this unit, lasted for 2 hour load shedding and used way less less than 20% of the battery capacity. The total load was so small as to not register anything (25% increments). Recharge time when power back on was 30 min to full battery again. Very quiet fan operation, automatically switches to battery when power out without any interruption (seamlessly).

What a game changer!

I looked around for an inverter to accommodate my very basic needs. This was the only one that came with a battery and such user-friendly housing. When I actually received the item and read all the things outside of my needs that it can do, I was really surprised. It's also super quiet and doesn't take up much space. This is possibly the most reasonable deal for the outcome provided. I'm looking forward to growing with this Inverter - it's SUPERB!

I've been using this device for 6 months now without issues. During load shedding, I run my fiber (router and ONT), TV, PlayStation, amplifier, a lamp, 2 laptops and an LCD screen. We also charge phones and other portable lights. I tested all the devices above for 6 hours and it does not fully discharge the battery. I am extremely happy so far.

Awesome buy,no problems works like a dream.I have had it for about 6 months now and still going strong.4 hour load shedding no problem.We run our Fibre router,TV,3 monitors 2 Xbox's 3 lamps,fish tank pump and a side by side fridge.Very Happy with my purchase.

Dont buy unless you want to waste money

Product started off great. Warranty of battery is 12 months. Your battery will fail within 1 year. Younwill return product and they will replace battery again with a 6 month warranty. You are guaranteed to have it fail just after the warranty and a new battery will cost u 3k.
