Review This Product

Totally unwatchable

Mon, 26 Mar 2018 | Review by: Michael S.

I've bought some duds in my time, but few as awful as this one. The idea was dreadful ( what were they thinking ? ) ; the story is deplorable. Jodie can be very capable, but the direction is clumsy, and the whole film is irritating and boring. Gibson's performance is clumsy and untalented, his fake cockney accent makes it all worse. The central conceit, of a sad man who communicates with the world only through a mangy glove puppet is unknown to psychological science, and far from heart-warming, would drive normal people to attack the irritating idiot who did this. Not for a moment is anything in it plausible or tolerable. This would make an excellent gift for people you hate.
