First Born is the story of a former Special Forces officer intent
on solving the murder of his wife and child. After the brutal
crime, he spends a year wallowing in pity and depression, until he
undertakes a search for the killers and though the exercise
revitalizes his life. The novel begins after a year has elapsed
from the still unsolved murder. Tom promises his in-laws and
himself that he will investigate the deaths of his wife and son. He
enlists the help of a police detective and soon discovers a plot to
sell biological weapons to a terrorist organization. Tom's old army
chief takes over the investigation, while Tom discovers a troubling
link between the military and the terrorist group. Tom overcomes
extreme odds to avenge the crime.
