The following pages are my attempt at drawing life principles from the lives of various Old Testament personalities. There is no particular formula involved in my choice of characters. I simply selected a number of representative individuals who give us insights into the plans and purposes of God in our journey through life. So I sincerely trust, as the chapters unfold, you will find nuggets of truth applicable to your own life. In the pages of Scripture, we discover individuals much like ourselves, complete with both victories and defeats. These provide us with both shining models of integrity and disappointing examples of disgrace. As you read each chapter, try to imagine yourself in the setting of the highlighted biblical character. Perhaps, in doing so, you will discover characteristics germane to your own walk with God.
