“Jillian supposed she should be grateful he hadn’t gagged and blindfolded her when he intruded into her home office, snatched her, and stuffed her in the truck.” - Opening line of “When I Meet You” by Olivia Newport
Of the three books Olivia Newport has written in the Tree of Life series, “When I Meet You” is my favourite! It is always lovely to return to a homey town with awesome characters and enjoy the interplay between father and daughter duo, Nolan and Jillian but the mystery in this one was awesome! It begins with a century old piece of unclaimed luggage and expands into an adventure of imposters, financial fraud and family history!
Jillian and Nolan unpacks the story piece by piece and it’s full of unexpected turns but it’s the leading lady in the past with whom I really connected. To share more would give away the story.
With humour and a sense of adventure, I enjoyed it from start to finish, it is a five of five on the enJOYment scale and highly recommended!
