Relations between European and African-American cultures throughout
the southern United States have been well-documented. It is a
history of personal tradegies as well as outstanding achievements.
This history reflects how two cultures, living together in a tiny
enclave nestled in the low hills of Northwest Arkansas, were able
to evolve a successful economy in spite of the expectations imposed
upon them by a peculiar history.
