Christmas Eve (DVD)

Patrick Stewart, Julianna Guill, Jon Heder and Cheryl Hines star in this festive comedy drama. When a power failure strikes New York on Christmas Eve, a group of disparate people are trapped together in six different lifts across the city. Amongst them is wealthy tycoon Harris (Stewart) who finds himself stuck alone in the lift of his new building, while elsewhere human resources manager Gary (Max Casella) is stuck with his fired employee James (Heder), a surgeon with his patient and a photographer shares his lift with a shy paralegal. The film follows the trapped individuals as they are forced to share the night before Christmas together.
