This is a story about the birth, development and reason for the
construction of my garden railway. I have been a model railway fan
for many years, and following early retirement due to illness
decided to build a railway in the garden. I felt it needed to have
a reason and purpose and as garden gnomes played a part in my
working career thought it appropriate for it to be connected
somehow with these lovable little chaps. Following a second more
damaging stroke I started to write this book, and with the help of
the members of a local club we have been able to turn the book into
some sort of reality.
