Island of Fear is a contemporary crime thriller set in Suffolk. The
story is based on the central character; D. I. Stephen Powell of
the Anglian Regional Crime Squad and his investigation into a
bizarre cult murder on an apparently deserted island five miles
from the Suffolk coast. In the course of his investigation, he is
unwittingly drawn into a much bigger criminal operation involving
an international group dealing in drugs, gold and illegal storage
of radio-active waste. During his investigation of the group, he
suffers personal tragedy at their hands when his wife and daughter
are murdered by them and relentlessly pursues those responsible to
bring them to justice.
