The BOOK of DICK contains roughly 200 short and to the point
sayings or "idioms" which the author refers to as "DICK-IDIOMS."
They are interesting original quotes of the author, gleaned from
his many years of jotting down little bits of wisdom from his daily
encounters. DICK-IDIOMS can be humorous, solemn, enlightening or
instructive and many straddle those lines, however they are always
intended to be of an entertaining and educational nature. A few
examples would be DICK-IDIOM #189 LIFE'S TRUTH - REALITY - "Money
buys classy things, but class ain't one of em." OR DICK-IDIOM #174
LIFE'S LESSONS - A TOAST - "May you never face the dire need... to
cross a bridge you've already burned." OR DICK-IDIOM #142
PHILOSOPHY - LIFE'S PLEASURES - "Too much talk, spoils a good
walk." OR DICK-IDIOM #140 MILITARY SERVICE - BASIC TRAINING - "The
relevance of today's accomplishment shall validate the essence of
yesterday's preparations."
