Not too difficult to build. There are instructions that can be found online as well. 3D arm rests (move vertically and horizontally). The horizontal movement of the arm rests seems a bit tight but that's not major. The chair base is a bit hard but I'm assuming that will change with time. I'm on the fence with recommendations, spending a bit more might get you a better quality chair, however, this chair will suffice. I also have a Cougar Armour One X chair which is a lot more comfortable than this chair.
