Steve at last is offered a top job in the new merged company, which
soon will become the biggest pharmaceutical corporation in the
world, but hours later his new boss is dead. It could be an
accident but suspicions are raised by the odd behavior of the CEO
and his Security Head.
Meanwhile the final trials on the West Coast of a potential
blockbuster cancer drug hit a snag, threatening the merger
itself.
Steve is drawn into the investigation which uncovers links both
to organized drug crime and his own family, and he turns to
Heather, his close friend and colleague, for personal support.
