The aim of the papers is to present and discuss latest developments in the application of logic-based meth- ods for natural language understanding. The volume gives an overview of recent results achieved within the LILOG project (LInguistic and LOgic methods for understanding German texts) - one of the largest research projects in the field of text understanding - as well as within related natural language understanding systems.
