This novel treats the two themes of incurable diseases and
euthanasia at various levels to bring into focus a web of dense
arguments legal and medical woven together that never tire the
readers in their attempts to grapple with issues of human
suffering, disease and death and its over-arching subject of
sympathy, pity and humanity. To lend credence to all the impressive
arguments, the novel draws parallels from real life situations and
cases that made possible a debate on physician-assisted suicides
and importance of human dignity and right to life and death.
