Samuel Edward Konkin III and three-time Prometheus Award-winner
Victor Koman present the secret story of Santa's rebel son in the
new, full-length children's book: THE LEGEND OF ANARCHO CLAUS.
Little Janie White wants a chemistry set for Christmas, but her
parents prohibit it. Waiting up until midnight for jolly, plump old
Santa Claus to appear so that she can plead her case, she opens her
eyes instead to see a jolly, rotund middle-aged elf dressed in
black appear on her hearth. He's Anarcho Claus, who brings
forbidden toys to non-coercive girls and boys. Whether it's
skateboards, laser pens, dirt bikes, an official Red Ryder
carbine-action 200-shot range model air rifle with a compass in the
stock, or -- yes -- chemistry sets, Anarcho Claus sneaks out of
Elf-Land every Christmas in his sleek black sleigh piloted by C.B.
-- a very gruff polar bear -- with reindeer Rudy leading the team
with his black-light nose stealthily guiding the way. With Santa
and the US Air Force in pursuit, Anarcho Claus spirits Janie away
to the North Pole, where she learns that toys are a waste product
in Elf-Land and Santa has been dumping them on humanity for his own
secret purposes Wry, wickedly witty and fast-paced, THE LEGEND OF
ANARCHO CLAUS is the year-round Christmas gift you'll want to read
to your children over and over. Samuel Edward Konkin III is the
author of two seminal works on libertarianism and Agorism: NEW
LIBERTARIAN MANIFESTO and AN AGORIST PRIMER. Over the course of
thirty years, he wrote, edited, and published newsletters and
magazines such as Laissez Faire, New Libertarian Notes, and 101
issues of the longest-running publication of its kind, New
Libertarian Weekly. Known to his friends as SEK3, Mr. Konkin
graduated cum laude from the University of Alberta, serving as head
of the Young Social Credit League there. He received his Masters in
Theoretical Chemistry at New York University, but left NYU without
submitting his Ph.D. dissertation in Quantum Mechanics to pursue
his lifelong efforts to promote Counter-Economics and agorism. He
founded the New Libertarian Alliance, the Movement of the
Libertarian Left and the outreach organization The Agorist
Institute. Mr. Konkin passed away Feb. 23, 2004. His body of work
is available from KoPubCo. Victor Koman, a native Californian, is
the author of several books, including the underground classic
millennial-noir novel The Jehovah Contract and his medical thriller
Solomon's Knife. Both novels won the Prometheus Award in their
respective years and are available in trade paperback from KoPubCo.
Ray Bradbury says of Koman's first award-winner, "The Jehovah
Contract has a fascinating concept, imaginatively delivered," and
of Koman, "Would that there were a dozen more writers like him in
the field." The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction calls his
unprecedented third Prometheus Award-winning novel, Kings of the
High Frontier "an intriguing, exhilarating, thought-provoking and,
yes, sprawling novel that brings back the sense of wonder that drew
so many of us into science-fiction in the first place." The novel
was the first book published exclusively on the Internet to win the
Prometheus award. Mr. Koman lives in Southern California with his
wife, daughter, and three cats.
