Lorraine Williams sat at the same desk in the detective division of
the San Francisco Police Department for fifteen years, solving many
different types of crimes. She had finally reached the point in her
life of where she wanted something more. It had been a big decision
to quit the force and go into private practice. Lorraine had made
the decision to become a private detective, working on the cases
that would come to her from unprivileged families. She had spent
many months preparing for the change by going around to the group
homes for the homeless and under privileged. She had opened a small
office in the community and had given notice to the San Francisco
Police Department. She now starts her new life. Lorraine knew being
a private eye would be very difficult, because most people felt
that only men should be in the business. Of course it helped being
five foot- six inches tall, with dark brown hair and blue eyes,
plus having a body built like a wrestler didn't hurt.
