The present study focuses on the study of attitudes and perceptions of people, regarding the violent extremism, who are living in Gujrat city. People from different professional backgrounds are interviewed to find any diversity regarding the perceptions about the violent extremism. Data analysis depicts that overwhelming majority of the respondents are agreed that there should not be existence of violent extremism, they are against every kind of violent extremism. There might be some factors like political instability, weak rule of law, secret agencies, which are responsible for emergence of violent extremism. Approximately all the respondents are against the violent extremists and organizations, accused of violent extremism, which shows that there could not be the acceptance of such extremists activities in any circumstances.
