Review This Product

This is the full vocal score for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, so it includes all the songs from the show, except for the Prologue, but it does include "Pharaoh's Story", and their melodies are exactly the same. It includes the following songs: Act One: Jacob and Sons/Joseph's Coat Joseph's Dreams Poor, poor Joseph One More Angel in Heaven Potiphar Close Every Door Go, go, go Joseph Act Two: Pharaoh's Story Poor, Poor Pharaoh/Song of the King Pharaoh's Dreams Explained Stone the Crows Those Canaan Days The Brothers come to Egypt/Grovel, grovel Who's the Thief? Benjamin Calypso Joseph All The Time Jacob in Egypt Any Dream Will Do The melody is, of course, not included in the piano part. All the characters have their own staves and even the choir/chorus notes are shown. The chords are extremely simple, so you can "fake" it, as it were, if you can't read sheet music that well or if you want to orchestrate the songs or make your own backtracks. I was actually surprised that the vocal score was so inexpensive, but when I got the book I found out why: It is printed on A5 paper. It is not like other sheet music books where each page is A4 in size, so it does make it a little more compact than my other vocal scores. Whether it is a good thing or a bad thing probably depends on how good your eyesight is, but it is not overly small. This is really a nice book if you like the show or if you are planning on producing it.
