For over sixty-five years, the United States war machine has been
on automatic pilot. Since World War II we have been conditioned to
believe that America's motives in 'exporting' democracy are
honourable, even noble. In this startling and provocative book,
William Blum, a leading dissident chronicler of US foreign policy
and the author of controversial bestseller Rogue State, argues that
nothing could be further from the truth. Moreover, unless this
fallacy is unlearned, and until people understand fully the
worldwide suffering American policy has caused, we will never be
able to stop the monster.

William Blum captures the often hidden truths about how the US empire conducts itself at war, foreign policy and intelligence activities. This book, written by an American citizen, is devoid of the need to lie for the country's sake. William Blum confronts the truth, intimidating as that is, without flinching. The "America's Deadliest Export, Democracy" is an accurate archiving of what the US empire would like to keep secret, that the empire is as cruel as its imagination about others. For students of Political Science and International Relations, this book outlines how the US honestly conducts its foreign policy, how it provoked or insinuated terrorism, inhuman conduct in Iraq and Afghanistan, and why the US is provoking a war with Iran. This book hides nothing, revealing with seriousness and humour very discomforting events of conspiracies in Libya, Yugoslavia, Libya and Cuba. This book truly allows the reader to understand how the US empire will do all it can to maintain the monster fed. I will recommend this book to all interested in understanding how the US foments division throughout the world just to maintain its hold on international power.
