This publication is truly a spreading of wings as it has come out
of the group's desire to share their writing with elderly folk in
the wider community, with the aim of encouraging others to express
their views and experiences in their own words. Spreading Our Wings
can be dipped into, or used to stimulate writing and reminiscence.
There is sadness, joy and humour in these pages: a vibrant weave of
voices, a bittersweet taste of Belfast's social history. ~Ruth
