Winner of the Palme d'Or at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival and Best Picture at the Academy Awards, acclaimed director Bong Joon-ho returns with this black comedy about wealth, greed and class discrimination.
Meet the Park Family: the picture of aspirational wealth. And the Kim Family, rich in street smarts but not much else. Be it chance or fate, these two houses are brought together and the Kims sense a golden opportunity. Masterminded by college-aged Ki-woo, the Kim children expediently install themselves as tutor and art therapist, to the Parks. Soon, a symbiotic relationship forms between the two families. The Kims provide “indispensable” luxury services while the Parks obliviously bankroll their entire household.
When a parasitic interloper threatens the Kims’ newfound comfort, a savage, underhanded battle for dominance breaks out, threatening to destroy the fragile ecosystem between the Kims and the Parks.

Conflict is an inevitable part of life, according to this ancient
Chinese classic of strategy, but everything necessary to deal with
conflict wisely, honorably, victoriously, is already present within
us. Compiled more than two thousand years ago by a mysterious
warrior-philosopher, "The Art of War " is still perhaps the most
prestigious and influential book of strategy in the world, as
eagerly studied in Asia by modern politicians and executives as it
has been by military leaders since ancient times. As a study of the
anatomy of organizations in conflict, "The Art of War " applies to
competition and conflict in general, on every level from the
interpersonal to the international. Its aim is invincibility,
victory without battle, and unassailable strength through
understanding the physics, politics, and psychology of conflict.
Sweet Potato Processing Technology systematically introduces
processing technologies of sweet potato starch and its series
products including sweet potato protein, dietary fibers, pectin,
granules, anthocyanins and chlorogenic acids. The book provides a
detailed and comprehensive account of physicochemical and
functional properties of sweet potato products, the nutritional
components extracted from sweet potato, as well as their
utilization in food, medicine and cosmetic fields. This book can
provide the scientific basis and technical support for virtuous
circle promotion and structure upgrade of sweet potato processing
industry. This book will be a valuable reference for undergraduate
and graduate students, as well as specialists and enterprise
research staff in the field of food technology.
The Oxford Handbook of Chinese Linguistics offers a broad and
comprehensive coverage of the entire field from a
multi-disciplinary perspective. All chapters are contributed by
leading scholars in their respective areas. This Handbook contains
eight sections: history, languages and dialects, language contact,
morphology, syntax, phonetics and phonology, socio-cultural aspects
and neuro-psychological aspects. It provides not only a diachronic
view of how languages evolve, but also a synchronic view of how
languages in contact enrich each other by borrowing new words,
calquing loan translation and even developing new syntactic
structures. It also accompanies traditional linguistic studies of
grammar and phonology with empirical evidence from psychology and
neurocognitive sciences. In addition to research on the Chinese
language and its major dialect groups, this handbook covers studies
on sign languages and non-Chinese languages, such as the
Austronesian languages spoken in Taiwan.

Magnetoelectric Composites: Materials, Devices and Applications
gives the reader a summary of the theory behind magnetoelectric
phenomena, later introducing magnetoelectric materials and
structures and the techniques used to fabricate and characterize
them. Part two of the book looks at magnetoelectric devices.
Applications include magnetoelectric sensors, magnetoelectric
antennas, transducers for energy harvesting, microwave and
millimeter wave devices, miniature magnetoelectric systems for
biomedical applications. The final chapter discusses progress
towards magnetoelectric memory. This second edition is updated on
the first edition published in 2015, with a timely and significant
update and expansion on the contents from the first edition. This
new edition starts with the phenomenon and theory of
magnetoelectrics, materials in bulk laminates, thin film
heterostructures, and nanocomposites. On the magnetoelectric
devices side, the contents have been significantly expanded to
include n energy harvesting, sensing, etc. In particular, there are
new chapters on magnetoelectric antennas for VLF (very low
frequencies), and magnetoelectric antennas for RF. This book is
suitable for those who have been working on magnetoelectrics in the
subject areas of materials science and engineering in academia and
R&D.
HarperCollins is proud to present its new range of best-loved,
essential classics.`Opportunities multiply as they are
seized.'Written in the 6th century BC, Sun Tzu's The Art of War is
a Chinese military treatise that is still revered today as the

principle that one can outsmart your foe mentally by thinking very
carefully about strategy before resorting to physical battle, this
philosophy continues to be applied to the corporate and business
world.Sun Tzu's timeless appraisal of the different aspects of
warfare are laid out in 13 chapters, including sections on `Laying
Plans', `Waging War' and `Terrain'. Words that are as resonant
today in every aspect of our lives as they were when he wrote them.

Reinforce your understanding of the concepts in Patton's The Human
Body in Health & Disease! Corresponding to the chapters in the
text, this study guide reviews essential medical terminology,
concepts, and processes related to anatomy and physiology, and
explains how body systems function in health and disease. Each
chapter begins with a quick synopsis of the key points in the
textbook chapter. A variety of exercises make it easier to review
and apply key concepts, and labeling of anatomy drawings helps in
learning anatomical terms and structures. Know your Medical Terms
feature helps familiarize you with the various word parts used in
medical terminology and pairs nicely with the Language of Medicine
word lists in the main text to reinforce medical terminology
concepts that are key to understanding A&P. Brief synopsis of
core textbook concepts provides a comprehensive review of essential
content. Crossword Puzzles and Word Finds help you master new
vocabulary terms. Application Questions ask you to make judgments
based on the information in the chapter. Diagrams and labeling
exercises help reinforce where the structures of the body are
located. Matching and fill-in-the-blank exercises aid in
understanding chapter content. Answers to exercises are provided in
the back of the guide, along with references to the appropriate
textbook page and the textbook objective, so that you can easily
find where the material is presented. Study tips in the Preface
provide an overview of the most effective methods for learning and
retaining information.
