From the Sunday Times bestselling author of THE FINAL STRIFE, comes
an enchanting new trilogy, perfect for fans of THE THORNS REMAIN
and THE ENCYCLOPAEDIA OF FAERIES Two elven sisters become
imprisoned in the hidden world of the fae where danger, and love,
lies in wait. Faebound is the first book in an enchanting new
trilogy from the internationally bestselling author of The Final
Strife. A thousand years ago, the world held three beings: fae,
elves, and humans. But now the fae and humans exist only in myth
and legend, survived by the elves who are trapped in an endless war
over the remaining lands. Yeeran is a colonel in the elven army and
has known nothing but a life of violence and hardship. Her sister,
Lettle, is a diviner whose magic promises a different future for
her and her sister, but the prophecies have yet to come to pass.
When a fatal mistake leads to Yeeran’s exile from the Elven
Lands, Lettle, fearful for her sister’s life, follows her into
the uncharted territory beyond their borders. In the wilderness the
sisters encounter the largest obeah they have ever seen. Part
leopard, part stag, the obeah’s magic is harnessed to make
weapons for the elven war. It is during this hunt that they are
confronted with the impossible: a group of fae who take them
captive. Imprisoned in a new land, they must navigate the politics
of the fae court all while planning their escape. Now Yeeran and
Lettle are fighting a different kind of war: between their loyalty
to their elven homeland and the intoxicating world of the fae,
between what duty decrees is right, and what their hearts tell them
they need.
'Epic in scope, its worldbuilding as intricate as filigree. The
Final Strife sings of rebellion, love, and the courage it takes to
stand up to tyranny, following three women whose journeys will keep
you gripped to the last' -Samantha Shannon, Sunday Times
bestselling author of The Priory of the Orange Tree The Empire
rules by blood Red is the blood of the elite, of magic, of control.
Blue is the blood of the poor, of workers, of the resistance. Clear
is the blood of the servants, of the crushed, of the invisible. The
Aktibar - a set of trials held every ten years to find the next
Ember rulers of the Empire - is about to begin. All can join but
not just anyone can win; it requires great skill and ingenuity to
become the future wardens of Strength, Knowledge, Truth and Duty.
Sylah was destined to win the trials and be crowned Warden of
Strength. Stolen by blue-blooded rebels she was raised with a
Duster's heart; forged as a weapon to bring down from within the
red-blooded Embers' regime of cruelty. But when her adopted family
were brutally murdered those dreams of a better future turned to
dust. However, the flame of hope may yet be rekindled because Sylah
wasn't made to sparkle, she was born to burn. And it's up to her
whether she rules the empire or destroys it.

"Today, over two billion people in developing countries live
without any electricity. They lead lives of misery, walking miles
every day for water and firewood, just to survive. What if there
was an existing, viable technology, that when developed to its
highest potential could increase everyone's standard of living, cut
fossil fuel demand and the resultant pollution" said Peter Meisen,
President, Global Energy Network Institute in 1997. Even though
energy is available, technology was not matured enough to tap this
energy in the nineties. Now, with the advancement of drilling
technology, extracting heat from hot rocks has become a reality.
Very soon when CO2 replaces the circulation fluid to extract heat
from granites then both fossil fuel based and renewable energy
sources will coexists balancing the CO2 emissions and providing
energy, food and water security to the rich and the poor countries.
Red Sea rift represents the youngest spreading ridges in the world
with a vast amount of heat energy stored on either side. The Red
Sea is surrounded by countries with a weak economy. Developing a
geothermal energy based economy in countries like Eritrea, Djibouti
and Ethiopia will provide food and water security to these
countries while for other countries, geothermal energy will help in
mitigating greenhouse gas emissions. Although geothermal energy
sources are available in all the countries since the opening of the
Red Sea, millions of years ago, this was not brought to the light.
Oil importing countries became highly dependent on the oil rich
countries to sustain their economy and growth and thus remained
poor. This book unfolds the huge energy source, hydrothermal and
EGS, for the benefit of the poor countries to reduce poverty and
lift the socio economic status of these countries. The book deals
with i) future energy demand, ii) CO2 emissions associated with
fossil fuel based power plants, iii) black carbon emissions
associated biomass energy source and iv) strategies to reduce CO2
emissions by using geothermal energy as energy source mix in all
the countries-oil exporting and oil importing countries- around the
Red Sea. The amount of energy available from hot granites in all
the countries is well documented. EGS being the future energy
source for mankind, this book will form the basis for future
research by young scientists and academicians. Availability of
fresh water is a matter of concern for all countries. The only way
to satisfy the thirst of a growing population, to meet drinking
water demand and food security, is to depend on seawater. A large
volume of CO2 is being emitted from desalination plants supported
by fossil fuel based energy sources. This book describes the
advantages of using geothermal energy sources for the desalination
process to meet the growing water and food demand of the countries
around the Red Sea. Oil rich countries, using its geothermal
resources, can now reduce food imports and become self sufficient
in food production. This book gives hope for millions of children
living in the underdeveloped countries around the Red Sea to
satisfy their hunger and live a decent life with a continuous
source of electricity, water and food available. This book ends
with a note on the economic benefits of geothermal energy vs other
renewables. With the signing of the GGA (Global Geothermal
Alliance) by several countries during the December 2015 CoP 21
summit in Paris, policy makers and administrators will work
together in implementing the necessary infrastructure and support
to develop this clean energy source.
Murder. Secrets. Sacrifice: Three women seek the truth of the empire’s past. And the truth they find will have the power to ignite a war, in the sequel to The Final Strife, the continuation of a visionary fantasy trilogy inspired by the myths of Africa and Arabia.
Anoor is the first blue-blooded ruler of the Wardens’ Empire. But when she is accused of a murder she didn’t commit, her reign is thrown into turmoil. She must solve the mystery and clear her name without the support of her beloved, Sylah.
Sylah braves new lands to find a solution for the hurricane that threatens to destroy her home. But in finding answers, she must make a decision: Should she sacrifice her old life in order to raise up her sword once more?
Hassa’s web of secrets grows ever thicker as she finds herself on the trail of crimes in the city. Her search uncovers the extent of the atrocities of the empire’s past and present. Now she must guard both her heart and her land.
The three women find their answers, but not the answers they wanted. The drumbeat of change thrums throughout the world. And it sings a song of war.
Ready we will be, when the Ending Fire comes,
When the Child of Fire brings the Battle Drum,
The Battle Drum,
The Battle Drum.
Ready we will be, for war will come.
Book Two of The Ending Fire Trilogy.

Internationale Politik - Region: Sudosteuropa, Balkan, Note: 2,
Universitat Wien, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit befasst
In

erfolgreiche Funktion.

...]everything is security" 18] behandle.
