Agriculture is strongly affected by changes in soil hydrology as
well as by changes in land use and management practices and the
complex interactions between them. This book aims to expand our
knowledge and understanding of these interactions on a watershed
scale, using soil hydrology models, and to address the consequences
of land use and management changes on agriculture from a research
perspective. Case studies illustrate the impact of land use and
management practices on various soil hydrological parameters under
different climates and ecosystems.

Operative Techniques series, Operative Techniques in Plastic
Surgery provides superbly illustrated, authoritative guidance on
operative techniques along with a thorough understanding of how to
select the best procedure, how to avoid complications and what
outcomes to expect. This stand-alone book offers focused,
easy-to-follow coverage of flaps for all anatomic regions, taken
directly from the larger text. It covers nearly all flap techniques
that are in current use, and is ideal for residents and physicians
in daily practice. Comprehensively covers craniofacial and frontal
sinus flaps; head and neck flaps; flaps for breast reconstruction;
trunk reconstruction and body contouring flaps; flaps in hand
surgery; flaps used in lower limb reconstruction and amputation;
and flaps used in pediatric facial reanimation. Succinct text,
bulleted points, and quick-reference tables allow you to review
information quickly and understand best practices and potential
problems for each procedure. Hundreds of full-color intraoperative
photographs and illustrations, as well as numerous high-quality
videos, capture procedures step by step and help you immediately
apply your knowledge. Each clinical problem is discussed in the
same templated format: definition, anatomy, patient history and
physical findings, imaging, differential diagnosis, nonoperative
management where applicable, surgical management including
preoperative planning and approach, step-by-step surgical
techniques, pearls and pitfalls, postoperative care, outcomes,
complications and references. Perfect for a quick preoperative
review of the steps of a procedure. Editors and contributors are
globally renowned authorities in their respective subspecialties
and are known for their surgical expertise. Enrich Your eBook

Darren Meyer is a millionaire's son. A most likable, lovable, kind
and a handsome young man in his community. No one could grasp, how
could this mellow man commit a heinous act...It all began when a
tiny injustice was encouraged that lead to a gigantic mishap.
Amazingly unpredictable precious jewels afloat from the quagmire
that he created. Years later when his son, a FBI agent with noble
intentions ventures out to find a closure, secretly embraces ties
with a mob family. The more deeper he gets in ..the more he finds
how fascinating and peculiar we humans are. Sapphire Den reaches a
heartwarming and a intriguing conclusion.
This book describes the design and development of an instrument
called the Solar Vector Magnetograph or SVM. This instrument maps
the magnetic field of the solar active regions. The magnetic field
of solar active regions is responsible for the eruptive phenomena
on the sun which expel large amounts of high-energy particles and
radiation in the interplanetary space posing danger for human
activities in space. The careful measurement of solar magnetic
field is very important to track its evolution which may be useful
for forecasting the solar eruptive events. The instrument SVM was
developed by Dr. Sanjay Gosain during his Ph.D. at Udaipur Solar
Observatory, India for which he received best thesis award by
Astronomical Society of India. This book describes how the
high-cadence magnetic field measurements can be done by using a
tunable Fabry-Perot etalon and a polarimeter. This book is useful
for any solar astronomer who wishes to develop an instrument for
measuring solar magnetic fields or wishes to understand how solar
magnetic field is measured using Zeeman-effect diagnostics. The
techniques of optical polarimetry is also discussed in depth.
The book presents a watershed based sustainable livelihoods
framework which analyses the livelihoods of watershed community,
evaluates watershed interventions and establishes linkages between
livelihoods and hydrological components. A methodology is proposed
for quantification of the socio-economic aspects, which is found
effective in measuring the impacts of watershed program on local
community. The SWAT hydrological model with ArcView GIS interface
has been used to simulate various watershed interventions for water
and sediment yields. Statistical analysis like factor and
regression modelling is used to establish linkages between
livelihoods and hydrological components. The GIS has played an
important role in database creation, data processing and analysis.
The methodology is employed on three watersheds namely Dudhi
micro-watershed, Bewas micro-watershed and Dudhi milli-watershed
which fall in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh State in India. The
students and practitioners in the area of water resources,
hydrology, environment, agriculture, irrigation, rural management
and developmental studies will find this book interesting for their
academic curricula and research projects.
