This isn't the first time I've been in a court room, and I know it
won't be the last, but it is the hardest plea I've ever given. I
was fighting for justice, justice for my son Jason. The piece of
trash seated across from me killed him. Jason was a prominent
basketball star just like his father and the love of my life. There
was no way I was going to let this boy get off with something as
easy as prison. My husband died when Jason was ten, Jason was all I
had left and this getto, gutter project-trash took my boy from me.
I know what you're thinking, if not jail then what? I want the
judge to grant me custody of this trifling waste of skin. Jail is
too good for him, I plan on making him suffer for what he did. He
destroyed me when he murdered my son. Now I just have to make the
judge believe I have only his best interest at heart. My hands were
sweaty as I stood, looking overy at the scum I now know as Jeremy.
It's hard to say what you will or won't do. I've heard people say.
"Oh I'd never do that." Or "How could she have done such a thing?"
Well I use to be one of those people, until my son was murdered.
Now all I can say is "Never say never." There's something strange
about this boy though, I can't put my finger on it, but something
just isn't right. By the way, my name is Kathryn. Kathryn Cool
Attorney of Law. Jeremy, welcome to hell.

Methods textbooks generally offer prescriptive advice on how to
perform certain techniques, how to develop specific strategies, how
to analyze your results. But, as all experienced ethnographers
know, this fine-sounding advice rarely provides ample guidance in
dealing with real people in real field settings. That is where this
casebook differs. Selecting many key methods regularly used by
anthropologists - participant observation, consensus analysis,
simple surveys, scaling, freelisting and triads, networks, decision
modeling- the editors commissioned scholars who have completed
studies using these techniques to describe them in the context of
real field work. Using cases from health, community politics,
family relations, and child development (among others) in settings
as diverse as an Arkansas college campus, a Mexican barrio, a Thai
village, and a Scottish business, the student is given a clear
understanding of the diversity of methods used by anthropologists
and the complexities surrounding their use.
It's time to get paid what you're truly worth Although you may not
realise it, the knowledge and knowhow you have acquired in your

life experiences, your passion for helping others and your
determination to make a difference. Andy Harrington has worked with
Richard Branson, Tony Robbins, Robert Kiyosaki, Brian Tracy, Bob
Proctor and even Former President of the United States Bill

The musteloids are the most diverse super-family among carnivores,
ranging from little known, exotic, and highly-endangered species to
the popular and familiar, and include a large number of introduced
invasives. They feature terrestrial, fossorial, arboreal, and
aquatic members, ranging from tenacious predators to frugivorous
omnivores, span weights from a 100g weasel to 30kg giant otters,
and express a range of social behaviours from the highly gregarious
to the fiercely solitary. Musteloids are the subjects of extensive
cutting-edge research from phylogenetics to the evolution of
sociality and through to the practical implications of disease
epidemiology, introduced species management, and climate change.
Their diversity and extensive biogeography inform a wide spectrum
of ecological theory and conservation practice. The editors of this
book have used their combined 90 years of experience working on the
behaviour and ecology of wild musteloids to draw together a unique
network of the world's most successful and knowledgeable experts.
The book begins with nine review chapters covering hot topics in
musteloid biology including evolution, disease, social
communication, and management. These are followed by twenty
extensive case studies providing a range of comprehensive
geographic and taxonomic coverage. The final chapter synthesises
what has been discussed in the book, and reflects on the different
and diverse conservation needs of musteloids and the wealth of
conservation lessons they offer. Biology and Conservation of
Musteloids provides a conceptual framework for future research and
applied conservation management that is suitable for graduate level
students as well as professional researchers in musteloid and
carnivore ecology and conservation biology. It will also be of
relevance and use to conservationists and wildlife managers.

The continuation of the story of Lia'na, Toby, and their friends.
With the primary nemesis dead and an ancient cult leaderless, a new
but familiar evil comes forward to take control. This story takes a
very dark path and leads the characters on a quest that puts the
entire world at stake. Things will happen that cannot be undone and
choices will need to be made that the group may not be able to live
with, considering any of them survive at all. As in the previous
story many locations and sites will be familiar, but in other ways,
this world is very different from our own. Yet should Toby and
Lia'na fail, even our world may not be spared.
James Harrington's Magnifica crosses fantasy with reality, bringing
mythological creatures like elves, sorcerers, and dwarves into the
modern day world. Many places may be recognizable, but their
histories are very different. In this alternate world, humans have
built the same great cities we know today, but they share the land
with elves and dwarves. The story begins on a college campus in
Massachusetts where an unremarkable young man is about to meet
someone who will change his life forever. Things unravel fast,
forcing our hero to make tough decisions that will affect the world
and those he cares about most.

Vengeance is a horrible thing; it can turn you into something you
never thought you could become. But sometimes you can't shake it,
no matter how you try, no matter how you fight it. The craving wont
leave until you can quench its thirst, satisfy the itch. Never
underestimate the power of love, and the pain that accompanies
guilt. It can eat at you like cancer. They say forget it, let it
go. I had to try and do that after they murdered my daddy, but I
couldn't. At age fourteen I claimed my first life. My name is Beth,
Beth Wade. Remember it, because it will be the last thing you hear
before you take your last breath.
In the first novel "If Only In My Dreams" Roxanne didn't think
there wold be a life for her and Andrew after being raped, and
impregnated with her mother's lovers' child. But in the sequel "If
Only It Were A Dream" Andrew was more than willing to take on the
responsibilities of being a husband to Roxanne, and a father to a
child that he knew wasn't his own. The love Andrew had for Roxanne
covered anything that may have tarnished her, or prevented him from
ever loving her. The home she had known all her life, was now,
nothing more than a constant reminder of her rape and the murder of
her sister. Moving to L.A. and starting over would be the only way
to wash away the tragedy that still plagued Roxanne. She finds out
the hard way that you can never out run your past. After finding
out that Mabel was not her biological mother, almost pushed Roxanne
over the edge. The hell that was about to visit Roxanne and Andrew
in L.A. would test their love and commitment to one another like
nothing else. We will just refer to her as 'Scary Mary.'

Restoration ecology is a young field that integrates theory and
knowledge from a range of disciplines, including the biological,
physical, and social sciences as well as the humanities. This new
textbook, written for upper-division undergraduates and first-year
graduate students, offers a real-life introduction to the field and
an interdisciplinary overview of the theory behind it.
Developed by ecologists and landscape architects, each of whom has
been involved in restoration research and practice for many years,
the focus of the book is on providing a framework that can be used
to guide restoration decisions anywhere on the globe, both now and
in the future. The text is organized around a restoration process
that has been tested and revised by the authors in their
restoration ecology courses taught at the University of
Wisconsin-Madison over the past thirty years.
Each chapter includes a series of "Food for Thought" questions that
both help students review concepts and put them to work in solving
conservation problems. The framework is designed to work with the
uniqueness, uncertainty, messiness, and constraints inherent in any
real-world restoration project.
Success in ecological restoration requires not only technical
proficiency but also skill in the social, cultural, and political
arenas. "Introduction to Restoration Ecology" can help students
develop the skills they need to succeed in all of these areas and
is a much-needed new resource.
