These five 'Tic's Tales' are designed to be read aloud to young children. The stories can be enjoyed by the listener on one level, whilst amusing the reader on another level. The stories are exciting adventures involving characters with unusual names. It is the names that will amuse the adult reader because they all end with 'tic' and all reflect the meaning of the name. For example, we have Climatic the weather forecaster, Mrs Domestic the housekeeper, Lactic the milkman and Lord Aristo-Cratic the nobleman. 'Just a Tic ' is about plans for a royal wedding that look like going wrong. 'Tic-a-Tape ' - the Queen's Royal Standard goes missing. 'Tic Toc' is about Tactic, a boy inventor, who's inventions get him into trouble. 'Tic the Box' - the circus comes to town 'Tic to the Rescue' - young Tics teach a school bully a lesson he will not forget.
