"The great masses of the people will more easily fall victim to a
big lie than to a small one." Adolf Hitler The only edition of Mein
Kampf officially sanctioned by the Nazi Foreign Office in the
English language was the edition translated and introduced by James
Murphy. The illustrated edition using his translation was first
published in the UK in 1939 in 22 weekly parts by Hutchison and Co
Ltd. This authentic edition brings together that entire series
complete with Murphy's 1939 introduction and a new introduction by
Emmy AwardTM winning historian Bob Carruthers, and includes over
250 photographs. Murphy's was the only translation which was
officially endorsed by the Nazi party during Hitler's lifetime and
as such represents an opportunity to approach the work as it was
presented to contemporary readers. This was the version of 'Mein
Kampf' which the Nazi party hoped would spread the gospel of
National Socialism throughout the UK, but by the time publication
was underway World War II had commenced. Somewhat surprisingly,
publication of the weekly illustrated edition was allowed to
continue although all proceeds from the sale were diverted to the
British Red Cross. This new publication of the entire primary
source provides the reader with access to the complete historical
document and provides a unique insight into the past by reproducing
'Mein Kampf' as it was presented to British readers in the
thirties.
For the first time in 65 years, a modern, easy to understand, truly
complete, accurate and uncensored edition of Mein Kampf has been
released which reveals more than any past translation. Older
translations altered passages, omitted passages, mistranslated
Hitler's words, made some parts more sensational while concealing
the true meaning in other parts of the book. If you have read one
of these older translations of Mein Kampf, then you have not read
the REAL Mein Kampf which is found only in this new special edition
hardcover Ford Translation. Mein Kampf is often portrayed as
nothing more than an Anti-Semitic work, however only 6% of it even
talks about the Jews. The rest contains Hitler's ideas and beliefs
for a greater nation plus his plan on how to accomplish that goal.
The majority of the work involves Hitler's discussion of the German
people's difficult times after the First World War, his political
theories and his organization of the Nazi Party, as well as many
attacks against his enemies which makes it a very interesting and
moving story. Mein Kampf offers an interesting interpretation of
politics, people, and foreign policy matters. To characterize it as
simply a racist work is to oversimplify its message. Germany did
not follow Hitler because he was a racist, they followed him
because he promised a great future, and Mein Kampf is where he
promised that great future. This Ford Translation offers: The most
accurate translation ever produced. Phrases that are translated
with precision and with no translator's bias. Uncommon words are
replaced with more common and more meaningful terms. Any references
to unfamiliar people, or places are explained in the text. This
version is complete with all original passages and references
restored, including passages omitted from other popular versions
and passages censored by the Nazi government during the print
history of the book. **This translation has corrected over 1000
errors which were present in past translations.** No English reader
has been able to appreciate these subtleties in any previous
English translation, not until the Ford Translation. This hardback
version is also available in an audio format. Get your copy now and
find out what deep desires truly drove Hitler.
This is Adolf Hitler's book Mein Kampf which he dictated while in
prison. It is a reprint of an original German language Mein Kampf
published in 1943. It includes both Mein Kampf volumes written in
1924 and 1926. This edition is in GERMAN just as it was originally
written.
This is the Official Nazi English Translation of Mein Kampf. It was
recently rediscovered after all copies were thought to have been
destroyed. This is one of the rarest Mein Kampf editions ever made
and it passed from hand to hand without the owners knowing what it
truly was or the value for 65 years. Finally, in 2009, the full
story has not only been revealed but the text is available for the
world to read. The Nazi Propaganda Ministry wanted to produce an
English language version of Mein Kampf. However, they were also
leery about revealing too much. In spite of this, they decided to
go ahead and hired a British man to create a translation for the
Nazi government which would later become the Official Nazi
Translation written in 1936-37. The man was James Murphy and he had
some sympathies for Nazi politics which made them trust him enough
to begin a translation. This edition was translated while he was
living in Germany. Over time, Murphy's opinions about the Nazi
government changed. The Nazi government decided they no longer
cared for him after he made some critical remarks and told him he
had to leave. He left quickly without his translation into English.
The Nazi government completed the translation and it was printed
within Germany from the presses of the Nazi printing office. It is
unknown exactly when the book was published but it was found in a
prison camp which opened in 1938 and was liberated in 1945 so the
book must have been published sometime during those dates. This is
a very rare historical version which has previously been unknown.
If you have already read Mein Kampf then you will find the
differences fascinating. If you have not yet read it, then this
version can quickly spark your curiosity. Find out what the
official Nazi version contains today.
