A collection of operas recorded live at the Vienna State Opera. Riccardo Muti is the conductor for a 1999 performance of Mozart's 'Don Giovanni', with a cast including Franz-Joseph Selig, Michael Schade, Adrianne Pieczonka, Carlos Álvarez, Angelika Kirchschlager, Anna Caterina Antonacci and Lorenzo Regazzo. Thomas Hampson, Christina Gallardo-Domas and Ferruccio Furlanetto head the cast of Verdi's opera 'Simon Boccanegra', recorded in 2002 with Daniele Gatti conducting. Finally, Philippe Jordan is the conductor for a 2005 performance of Massenet's opera 'Werther', featuring Marcelo Álvarez, Elina Garanca, Adrian Eröd and Ileana Tonca.

Recorded at the Saltzburger Festspiele in 2004, Semyon Bychkov conducts the Vienna Philharmonic in Robert Carsen's production of Strauss's comic opera, with performances by Adrianne Pieczonka, Franz Hawlata, Angelika Kirchschlager and Franz Grundheber.
