Increasing globalization has urged organizations to reduce software costs and access to the best qualified resources, which leads through global software development teams as one of many possible solutions. More and more software companies have become multinational and used the benefits of offshore in-sourcing, outsourcing and virtual software development teams to increase their competitiveness and keep costs down for software development. A large number of companies failing to achieve their expected high results due to many inherent disadvantages of virtual software development. Software companies have limited time and budget to research these problems and ways to solve them. In this book, dummy scenario of global software development was created. Possible solutions to problems in GSD were discussed in detail. e.g Time difference, Culture & Language difference and Familiarization & trust issues.

Health 'R' Us is a Journal handling system which is used by health care departments for storing and managing journal and journals. Electronic journal is used to accompany the patients from the first visit to the hospital including initial checkups, medications which include examination by doctor and all the medical data related to the patient. The system will be used by the hospital as well as care centers. The system will insure security by providing proper user privileges. The system also has a backward compatibility options that is we can also enter the information of the patient either adding manually or by migrating the data of patients from the previous system. The system will be able to fetch and send journals to other hospital and care center. Data and Network security is handled by the system through Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP). This software is used by hospitals or health care centers through PC's and thin client devices. The system will communicate with centralized server(s) through different communication channels. Each user has its own right/view to access the system. The main users of the system are doctors, nurses and health caring center staff.

The future is of the mobile phones. Everyone wants the mobile phone to do everything for them. People now don't want desktops or laptops they want their mobile cell phones to be capable of doing everything they can do over the computers. We have conceived a similar idea. The main concept is that in future universities must all be networked over mobile phones. All notices, alerts messages, fines, assignments, results, grades, everything be done over the mobile communication. So for that we think as a starting point we can convert one of our local applications into a mobile application and allow students to access it on their mobiles. Not only will this save time, but will also be a first step into the direction of getting the whole university into a new dimension of mobile enabled environment. So we have decided to work ( i.e. develop, integrate and mobilize) on an application that will hold students record and result (e.g. RADIX like application) as our project, and to turn it into a mobile application, so that students get to register, view their grades, credit hours and get notification alerts all on their mobile phones.

This book is Project Management Plan (PMP) for e-shopping website/portal. The portal/website allows users to exchange their goods with other users. E.g. a user may want to exchange his iPhone with an Android Phone of other user. This portal/website provide platform for posting such exchange requests online.
