Without much fanfare Ahmed Kathrada worked alongside Nelson Mandela, Walter Sisulu and other giants in the struggle to end racial discrimination in South Africa. He faced house arrest and many court trials related to his activism until, finally, a trial for sabotage saw him sentenced to life imprisonment alongside Mandela and six others. Conversations with a Gentle Soul has its origins in a series of discussions between Kathrada and Sahm Venter about his opinions, encounters and experiences. Throughout his life, Kathrada has refused to hang on to negative emotions such as hatred and bitterness. Instead, he radiates contentment and the openness of a man at peace with himself. His wisdom is packaged within layers of optimism, mischievousness and humour, and he provides insights that are of value to all South Africans.

Current concerns with climate change have resulted in greatly
increased interest in power recovery from low grade heat sources.
This includes both hot fluid streams which can be expanded directly
to produce mechanical power and those which act as a source of heat
to closed cycle power generation systems. "Power recovery from low
grate heat by means of screw expanders" with a generalised overview
of how best to recover power from such sources, based on
thermodynamic considerations, which differs to the approach used in
classical thermodynamics textbooks and which includes an
introductory description of the types of working fluid that are
used in systems used to recover power from such sources and the
criteria that must be taken into account in their selection. This
is followed by a description of the mathematical modelling of twin
screw machine geometry. The modelling of the thermodynamics and
fluid flow through such machines is then given, together with how
this is used to predict their performance. Finally a detailed
description is given of systems currently used or projected both
for direct expansion of the source fluid and by recovery of heat
from it, which includes those which are particularly suited to the
use of screw expanders in place of turbines.

A moving, immersive, and humanising essay collection charting the daily lives, struggles, and dreams of young people in Gaza. A teenage girl stares at her roof, hoping it won’t collapse over her head. A young student searches the Internet for photos of libraries around the world, hoping he’ll be able to visit them one day. Another walks around the city, taking notes of all the buildings she dreams of repairing. These are the stories of young people from Gaza, born under Israeli occupation and blockade. They are people who have endured unspeakable struggles and losses, who keep fighting to be recognised not as numbers, but as human beings with hopes, dreams and lives worth living. We Are Not Numbers was founded in 2014 to give voice to the youth of Gaza. In this collection, vital, urgent and full of heart, spanning over ten years to the present moment, we gain an unparalleled insight into the past, as well as the current and next generation of Palestinian leaders, artists, scientists and scholars and imagine where we might go from here.
In Brexit and the Future of Private International Law in English Courts, Mukarrum Ahmed discusses the impact of Brexit upon jurisdiction, foreign judgments, and the applicable law in civil and commercial matters. By providing a commentary on the principal post-Brexit changes in England, this book faces towards the future of private international law in English courts. It utilises a once-in-a-generation opportunity to analyse, understand, and reframe some fundamental assumptions about the discipline with a view to suggesting adjustments and law reform. Ahmed argues that a conscious unlearning of the central precepts of EU private international law would be detrimental to the future of English private international law. The multilateral issues that lie ahead for the discipline rely on the legal epistemology of EU private international law, which also serves as a useful reference point when comparing aspects of English private international law. Unshackled from the EU's external competence constraints, the UK will have the opportunity to play a more prominent role in the development of the Hague Conference's global instruments. A methodologically pluralist approach to English private international law may be the best route to sustain its global leadership in this field, as well as simultaneously assimilating the best private international law developments from the Commonwealth, Europe, and beyond.
I have always loved to bake. I found cooking difficult, especially after I got married. It took years to get to a level where I am proud of my cooking. Proud that all that experimenting finally paid off and now I dona t freak out at the thought of guests coming for dinner, I welcome it. Every Ramadan for the last 6 years I have raised money for charity with my children. We have sold cakes, sweets, balloons, absolutely anything! This year I started teaching children how to cook online. Which gave me the idea to write a cookbook of the recipes I was teaching them. Recipes that are easy to make and that are perfect for those new to cooking. The whole idea behind these classes was to teach the next generation how to cook hearty homely meals easily. The profits from this cookbook will help out individuals in desperate need of something, whether it be medical assistance, a house, clothes, rations, a wedding, anything that they cana t get the help for easily. I am targeting, Bangladesh, India and Pakistan as I have reliable people on the ground that can check to see that it is a genuine cause and send evidence of where the money will be spent. I will update the website www.kitchenmagiccookbook.com regularly with the profits made from the cookbook and which projects have been funded. Thank you for your support, I pray you all love the dishes you cook from this book and they bring joy to your family as they do to mine!

In 1991, Ahmed Ali Haile returned to the chaos of his native Somalia with a clear mission: to bring warring clans together to find new paths of peace--often over a cup of tea. A grenade thrown by a detractor cost Haile his leg and almost his life, but his stature as a peacemaker remained. Whether in Somali's capital, Mogadishu, or among Somalis in Kenya, Europe, and the United States, Haile has been a tireless ambassador for the peace of Christ. Into this moving memoir of conversion and calling, Haile weaves poignant reflections on the meaning of his journey in the world of Islam. 144 Pages.

This book, which committed itself to approach scientific research and objectivity, explores the Egyptian policy in a highly stage of delicacy, where the rigorous debate has been for so long at its peak arguing in who will lead Egypt after the end of President Hosni Mubarak's ruling era in the Autumn of 2011. Would it be his son Gamal, or somebody else? Knowingly, Egypt is a country enriched with significant patriotic nationals branded with very high-fidelity. The Book deeply highlights the character of Gamal Mubarak, the youngest son of President Hosni Mubarak. A lot of signals about his personal biography and life story have been casted. What kind of relationship had he to manipulate towards the people of his country as well as the world around him, what his forecasting vision for the future of Egypt by far and the future of peace with Israel particularly would look like, should he destined to be the next president. The book continues to explore the political depth of the man, what his relationship and tactics would be with the diversified conflicts of religious groups and affiliates as a chronic dilemma in his country. Could the image the Western media has been depicting about him help to boost the young man any further? And conclusively, the eventual answer for the most puzzling question; Is Gamal Mubarak really going to rule Egypt or not?! Yet again the book has not undermined all of the opposition fronts and factions in Egypt. A reasonable deal of light has been spread upon each of them; their history, their demands, their agenda and political manifesto in connection with all aspects of political and social life. The political and religious leaders and significant journalists have as well been considered as national unmistakeable or bypassed power with the right of contest to governing the turmoil country. The intention of publishing the book in English is mainly behind the endeavour of offering a close access to the Non-Arabic speakers for learning something about the world of politics in the Orient. It is a goal and sincere wish of the Author to participate in serving his country. It is an honest desire to introduce a fraction of what is occurring at the political level in Egypt, hopefully an excessive effort will follow in the near future. In view of that the hopes will remain pinned on all will be able to achieve meaningful and valuable cocktail of cross-fertilized notions to deepen the development of understanding in human relations between The East and The West.
Establishing the means to improve performance in healthy, clinical, and military populations has long been a focus of study in the psychological and brain sciences. However, a major obstacle to this goal is generating individualized performance phenotypes that allow for the design of interventions that are tailored to the specific needs of the individual. Recent developments in artificial intelligence (AI) have qualified for the development of precision approaches that consider individual differences, allowing, for example, the establishment of individualized training, preparation, and recuperation programs optimal for an individual's cognitive and biological phenotype. Corollary developments in AI have proven that combining domain expertise and stakeholder insights can considerably improve AI's quality, performance, and dependability in the psychology and brain sciences. Recent Developments in Machine and Human Intelligence studies original empirical work, literature reviews, and methodological papers that establish and validate precision AI methods for human performance optimization with a focus on modeling individual differences via state-of-the-art computational methods and investigating how domain expertise and human judgment can improve the performance of AI methods. The topics are crafted in such a way as to cover all the areas of artificial and human intelligence that require AI for further development. This book contains algorithms and techniques that are explained with the help of developed source code and encompasses the readiness and needs for advancements in managing yet another pandemic in the future. It is designed for academicians, scientists, research scholars, professors, graduates, undergraduates, and students.
