This book constitutes the joint refereed proceedings of the 22nd International Conference on Internet of Things, Smart Spaces, and Next Generation Networks and Systems, NEW2AN 2022, held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in December 2022. The 58 regular papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 282 submissions. The papers of NEW2AN address various aspects of next-generation data networks, while special attention is given to advanced wireless networking and applications. In particular, the authors have demonstrated novel and innovative approaches to performance and efficiency analysis of 5G and beyond systems, employed game-theoretical formulations, advanced queuing theory, and machine learning. It is also worth mentioning the rich coverage of the Internet of Things, optics, signal processing, as well as digital economy and business aspects.
Generic programming is a widely appreciated and strongly affecting paradigm in software development. Genericity has become an integral part of most widely known and used programming languages. Some have just most recently been extended with generics, as is the case with Java 1.5. Some are known to have generics from the very beginning and even before they were extended to support object-oriented programming, as is the case with Ada. Genericity, templating, parameterized types, or parametric polymorphism refer to the same technique; basically, instantiating versions of an algorithm using built-in types, classes, objects, or program units as parameters. This Thesis work is to provide a comparison between three different language approaches to generic programming. The languages to be compared are Ada, C++, and Java. The objective of this study is to understand how and why these languages employ certain features with generics to provide a degree of support for generic programming, and to understand the extent to which each language could support a powerful and flexible version of generic programming.
Egypt is one of the countries which characterized by arid climate. Water is the major factor in development of the country. Nile River is the main water source in Egypt, while the second water source is groundwater especially in the desert areas. The growing population and the need for improving the living conditions of Egyptian community have been resulted in the establishment of new urban areas, industrial zones, land reclamation, and different types of developmental projects. In the Nile Valley, the only available areas for carrying out such activities are the desert zones surrounding the floodplain on both sides of the Nile Valley. Undoubtedly, one of the ways to provide valuable information about these zones is by evaluating and understanding groundwater in the area and land suitability for the development. A strip of the desert zones has already been reclaimed and is irrigated essentially with groundwater. The continuous increase in groundwater demand in the desert fringes is believed to affect sustainability of the groundwater supply both quantitatively and qualitatively. Geographic Information Systems has proved to be an efficient tool in evaluation of Groundwater.
This book presents the conceptual design of an FPSO which suits the parameters of a specific oil field. It has been divided into five sections. They are - Vessel selection, Tanker refurbishment and conversion, Topsides selection, Mooring and Hydrostatic and Stability checks. A Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) is proposed as the desired vessel. Internal mooring system is selected to deal with extreme weather. Suitable tanks have been modeled to provide desired storage capacity. Major aspects associated with tank renovation and conversion has been discussed. Simplified calculations for steel renewal and typical total required volume of steel have been presented. In designing topsides three major requirements has been fulfilled. For mooring system design, the applied standard was API-RP-2SK. For Hydrostatic and stability calculation, a model of the proposed FPSO has been developed. Damage statical stability analysis is performed for full flooding damage of six different compartments. Finally Some recommendations are provided at the end of the report regarding further improvement of the proposed Design.
