Fast-paced Hong Kong action adventure. Set in a land ruled by a
vengeful queen (Ying Qu), who insists that all men will be slaves
to women, the film follows the journey of two young brothers,
Charcoal Head (Jaycee Chan) and Blockhead (Bo-Lin Chen), who come
into the possession of a mysterious map. Presuming that the map
will lead them to treasure, the boys set out on an adventure in the
hope of finding wealth and happiness. They are pursued by Spring
(Charlene Choi) and Blue Bird (Gillian Chung), two beautiful female
warriors with secret intentions, and quickly discover that the map
has led them into danger. Will the boys be able to fight their way
to the bottom of the riddle - and past rivals as formidable as the
Lord of Armour (Jackie Chan) - to fulfil their destiny?
This book adopts an interdisciplinary approach with a wide scope of
perspectives on primary healthcare, describing related principles,
care models, practices and social contexts. It combines aspects of
development, research and education applied in primary health care,
providing practitioners and scholars with a comprehensive overview
of the current knowledge and delivery models of healthcare in
community settings. It covers the practical, philosophical and
scholarly issues pertinent to the delivery, financing, planning,
ethics, health politics, professional and technological
development, resources, and monitoring in primary health care.
Contributors are from a diverse range of academic and professional
backgrounds, bringing together collective expertise in mainstream
medicine, nursing, allied health, Chinese medicine, health
economics, administration, law, public policy, housing management,
information technology and mass communications. As such, the book
does not follow the common clinical practice or service-based
approach found in most texts on primary care. The contents will
serve as a useful reference work for policymakers, researchers,
community health practitioners, health executives and higher
education students.
William Pleasant Tyree is the most interesting of all the Tyrees.
His accomplishments were extraordinary given the conditions he
faced during the time he lived (1821-1874). He was many things
during his life: pioneer, soldier, prospector, carpenter,
innkeeper, businessman, farmer, politician, and the father of eight
children. Throughout his life, he was motivated to serve his
neighbors and his community. He was the very definition of public
service. William Pleasant Tyree was a patriot whose story deserves
to be told.
More Practical Advice for Principals is an overview of how to get
started as a principal that provides practical strategies for
dealing with common school problems. Albert Lee Snow deals with
some areas not covered in his previous book, Practical Advice for
Principals, such as dealing with special needs students and
diversity. Snow also provides more strategies for working on
problems covered in the first book, such as academic improvement
and school safety. More Practical Advice for Principals is written
by a principal for aspiring and practicing principals. It can also
be used as a supplemental text in graduate level principal
preparation courses or for staff development purposes.
The Last Dance: Encountering Death and Dying provides a
comprehensive, up to date, and readable introduction to the study
of death and dying. It directs attention to the evolving
understanding of death and dying in today's culturally diverse
environment. In a straightforward, conversational style, with an
extensively illustrated format, The Last Dance provides a solid
grounding in theory and research as well as in methods for applying
what is learned to readers' own circumstances, both personal and
professional. No other textbook so successfully combines the
research and theories of such diverse disciplines as anthropology,
art, ethics, health science, literature, philosophy, psychology,
public policy, religion, and sociology. The eleventh edition of The
Last Dance includes coverage of key topics yet retains the focus,
writing, and pedagogy instructors have come to expect from the
best-selling text in death studies. Instructors and students can
