This guide book covers the main touristic attractions of Beijing,
as well as some of the best spots for shopping. The idea is to
spend around 10 days in the city to visit them all, however
visitors planning to stay less time can choose what they like most.
It covers information about the different sites, including how to
reach them by subway/underground (with the exception of the Great
Wall), as well as a series of photos of each of them which will
always proof better than descriptions to give readers an idea of
the sites. I also provide the estimated time needed for each
attraction. All pictures have been taken in 2014, and as well as
the descriptions are up to date. This guide does not cover the
following: -Hotels -Weather -Bars and Restaurants Mostly because
those change very often in places like Beijing (with many opening
and closing on a weekly basis, as well as quality changing
considerably when they become popular). This guide is aimed at
travellers who want to visit what is best, who need just enough
information about the sites to enjoy them, and who appreciate good
quality photos to decide whether is worth visiting or not. This is
an ideal guide for those travellers looking for something quick and
easy to read helping them to plan their visit without having to go
through hundreds and hundreds of pages, covering the most popular
and precious sites that Beijing have to offer.
This book covers some of the best restaurants in Saigon (Ho Chi
Minh City). Through his job as journalist, restaurant reviewer, and
food and beverage editor, the author has visited most of the
eateries in Ho Chi Minh City, as a result he has selected some of
the best ones for this book. The reviews are extensive, and paired
with several pictures of each restaurant. For each restaurant,
reviews of several of the dishes are made, indicating the price of
some of the dishes as reference, prices are in local currency VND
(currently at April 2014 $1=21.100 VND, =35.000 VND). This book is
not about cheap eats but more about top eats, without necessarily
being expensive."
I love wine, and if anything I like more than drinking wine is
sharing my knowledge and expertise about it, and this is the third
wine related book that I write (see the back to know more about my
other books). Although I grew up in Spain, I only discovered sherry
in my 30s, and is such a hidden gem, so under valued, and so nice,
that it should be shared The first thing I want to tell you is that
the concept most people have about sherry is totally wrong: sherry
is not a sweet wine (at least most of them are not), and is not a
drink for grandmothers I will explain why and I will also explain
to you why such misconception. You should buy and read this book if
you want to know more about sherry, the different types, and how to
choose the ones you like more, or which are more likely to go
better with you; how to pair the different types of sherry with
food, and know a few more things about it. I like good but simple
things in life, so expect my book to be simple (and hopefully
good), but do not expect to find a lot of technical information: in
my experience most people want to get useful knowledge without
becoming experts, and nearly everyone loves a book that it is
enjoyable and easy to read, so these are my aims. Having said that,
for those of you who want to know more, there are several detailed
chapters giving the ins and outs of Sherry production. I hope you
enjoy it, and that soon you start sharing some of the amazing
sherries with your friends. I am writing something about the
history of sherry, for those who want to know more, but I am doing
so at the end of the book, so that if you are not interested you do
not need to read the last chapter.
Simple This book is about how you can live in Vietnam, having a
great life for just $300 a month, plus how to easily get that
amount of money by working around 10-12 hours a month, are you
tempted? Ok, let's make a few things clear: -This is not a miracle
book, or in other words, you do not need to make short of a miracle
to achieve such living This is easily achievable by virtually
anyone, as long as your English is good enough. -The costs listed
here are real at the time of writing (May 2013) and they are likely
to stay similar for a while. -This book does not require you to
live under a bridge or do something illegal to achieve the living
standards, is just normal living, normal costs, you just need to
drink beer in Vietnamese restaurants (50 cents or less for a cold
one) rather than in ex-pat bars ($3-$7). -Numbers, prices, and
places are real I am a fully qualified Chartered Management
Accountant, so I know about numbers -You will need to make some
changes to your diet, however that does not mean that you will
starve or that your diet will be limited to rice. Vietnamese food
is delicious (and I have even gained 7 kilos here), what it means
is that you may need to say goodbye to olives or cherries (which
are imported products and expensive) and welcome fresh fish,
oysters, prawns, mangoes, coconuts, ... which are grown locally and
terribly cheap. In this book I will tell you what is cool and nice,
like semi-deserted beaches, and what is not so good or terrible,
like traffic, so that you have a realistic picture of life here
before you decide whether to move here or not. I am also attaching
two little presents: -Cultural and business guide to Vietnam -Guide
to Ho Chi Minh City and other major cities and tourist
destinations. I am sure you will enjoy reading, and may be I will
be drinking a beer next to you if you move to Vietnam
Vietnam is a fascinating country, still unspoilt by mass tourism
unlike some nearby countries, and although there are several guides
already published (including one from the author of this book),
they tend to concentrate in the main attractions, most of which are
concentrated in the city centre, while ignoring some of the
beauties, which although not far away from the centre, hardly see
any foreign face. From the awarded author of "Saigon 2013: Guide to
Ho Chi Minh City," and "Vietnam Business and people, understanding
to cultural differences" comes this new guide book to help you
discover some hidden gems in Ho Chi Minh City, giving you the
opportunity to observe and experience real life of Vietnamese
people. What will you find in this book: -Very interesting hidden
temples, covering the many religions practised in Vietnam. -How to
reach the suggested sites from the city centre. -Time to reach
them, and how much a taxi will cost. -Suggestions for best eats
nearby. -Daily real life of Vietnamese. -Markets where Vietnamese
shop (Ben Thanh market is for tourist only ) at Vietnamese prices.
-Lots of pictures and maps. -Suggested walking itineraries, and
time to do them. -Up to date information as per January 2014
This book will bring you to most interesting parts of Ho Chi Minh
City, as well as to other parts of the country. Do not worry if you
think I am not covering everything and you will be short of things
to do and see: if you visit everything I review in this book, you
will need three to four weeks
Wine is fantastic, and so is learning about it, once you start
getting the pull from discovering new wines, new aromas, new
experiences, the ball starts rolling and does not stop, as with
thousands of options available, and many more thousand wines made
every year, the road to discovery is endless. I have been
organising, delivering ad enjoying wine tastings for over 15 years
now, and I also love educating friends and strangers alike on the
wonders of the wine world. I have tasted around 30.000 different
wines so far (more or less), and I keep enjoying wine more and more
every single day, I would love to share that joy with you.
With this book, and using my experience in settling in Viet Nam, I
try to help future expats or even tourists to make the most out of
Viet Nam, with minimum difficulties to achieve their objectives,
this being to communicate with a pharmacist or the lucky money
protocol in Tet. I am also including a lot of information on
cultural differences, as problems can easily be reached without
knowing due to some drastic cultural differences between Vietnamese
ways and Western ways. I have divided the book in small chapters so
that it is easy to find various subjects. The book can be read in
any order as each chapter is independent. I hope you find it
helpful and enjoy reading it!

interminable. He organizado, ofrecido y disfrutado catas de vino
encantaria compartir esa alegria contigo.
