In this collection, we fall into the tenderness of quiet, shared
moments, feel the spark and burn of passion, experience the exact
second lovers discover their worlds are forever intertwined. Alicja
Kuberska has gifted us with the magnificence and unpredictability
of the heart -- and shares how when love finds us, we are
unprepared, but overjoyed by sensations that dominate and flavor
every ounce of our being. As these beautiful poems blend together,
we also learn the ultimate lesson: love is a verb -- not a noun.

Who does not like to draw greeting letters from the box? And what
about becoming the recipient of postcards with the message of love
from all over the world ? The editors of the anthology ""Love
Postcards"" did an impressive job - they gathered a lot of
interesting poets and their poems. Let's look at the shades of this
most powerful feeling, let's follow the poets and get to know their
memories or desires. Let's find out - regardless of the cultures
and languages, in which the poems are created - that our longings
are similar. One hundred eighteen authors take part in this book.
The anthology ""Love Postcards"" brings tender and gentle messages

I'm placing in your hands an international anthology dedicated to
love, the most beautiful feeling there is. We all know the words
from The Beatles' song: All you need is love Love is all you need
To that I should like to add, from myself -Love is like air, which
we need for breathing, for we, humans, cannot live happily without
love. My experience and observations bring me to the conclusion
that a life without love leads to misery and destruction. Therefore
I invite you on a journey around the world, for a breath of air
filled with love. Alicja Kuberska, Editor
Poetry, they say, has gone out of fashion. It no longer speaks to
people. Those who say this have clearly not read the work of Alicja
Kuberska. In her recent book (Not) My Poem, she demonstrates that
her love of poetry and her love of writing poetry can reach and
touch any reader. In these poems about dreams and bread and lovers
and clouds and philosophers and butterflies and more, she touches
on all those things that connect us in a language that is always
joyful and clear and engaging. This book of poems will not
disappoint. Dr. John Z. Guzlowski - Professor Emeritus, Eastern
Illinois University, author of Echoes of Tattered Tongues: Memory
Unfolded
I'm glad that I may present the anthology The Other Side of the
Screen, edited by Alicja Kuberska. This is an extraordinary
publication showing a diversity of literature, its subject matter,
and form. The book's title explains much and suggests its origin.
It all started through the Internet from meetings on Facebook,
which in some cases grew into friendships. This book is based on
Alicja's poetic travels, summits, and engagements. Danuta Blaszak -
Editor of the series Contemporary Writers of Poland
Alicja Kuberska is a Polish poet with a rare gift. Not only does
she write poetry that has deep emotional resonance, her poetry
reads beautifully in translation. Her poems are sometimes sad and
sometimes whimsical, but they always leave an abiding impression on
the reader who connects with her words which glimpse into a moment,
or a thought we ourselves have known: we have all felt those
emotions she writes of so eloquently. Alicja poems freeze moments
in time, to be read, and reread and savoured. Marie-Ora de Villiers

Niesie z soba zyciowe cieplo, cieplo zranione, ale nadal tlace sie
nadzieja, trzymane przy zyciu "zapachem porannej kawy". Przede
wszystkim Alicja Kuberska pokazuje nam swiatlo, jakie drzemie w
kazdym czlowieku. Agata Linek
