Daniel Monzon writes and directs this suspenseful Spanish prison thriller based on a novel by Francisco Perez Gandul. Alberto Ammann stars as trainee prison guard Juan Olivier, who is injured when a prison riot breaks out as he is taking his induction tour of the prison. The uprising, initiated by the charismatic and dangerous Malamadre (Luis Tosar), is a politically-motivated rebellion intended to force negotiations with the authorities over prisoners' rights, and to this end Malamadre takes three Basque terrorists hostage. Caught amidst the ensuing chaos and desperate to protect himself, Juan pretends to be an inmate and ends up becoming Malamadre's right hand man.
Taut Spanish thriller starring Leonardo Sbaraglia as Quim, a city man who meets an attractive young woman, Bea (Maria Valverde), at a roadside garage after losing his way while driving in the countryside. The pair then find themselves pursued by a pair of unseen gunmen as they try to escape along the labyrinthine forest roads.
Spanish horror in which a boy with a rare skin condition is linked to a series of brutal murders. Santi (Junio Valverde) is afflicted by a condition known as photophobia, an allergy to light and especially sunlight. Warned by a doctor that the affliction is getting worse, he and his mother (Mar Sodupe) move to a remote mountain village in the north of Spain, where natural light is at its weakest. Their greeting at the hands of the locals is lukewarm, with an undercurrent of xenophobia, and isn't helped by the fact that a series of violent attacks coincide with their arrival. First a sheep is found horribly eviscerated, then people begin dying around Santi in similarly brutal ways. Can Santi get to the bottom of the mystery before the locals, and possibly the killer, get to him?
