processed foods are particularly useful in achieving and
maintaining health goals. Nutraceuticals and Innovative Food
Products for Healthy Living and Preventive Care is a comprehensive
reference source for the latest research findings on food
components that provide health and medical benefits, including the
prevention, treatment, and cures for numerous diseases. Featuring
extensive coverage on relevant areas such as functional foods,
alternative medicine, and nutrition, this publication is an ideal
resource for medical practitioners, nutritionists, upper-level

employees within an organization. This book elaborates the
satisfaction level of library professionals working in the
libraries of engineering Institutions, Lucknow. It also emphasizes
the rewarding system which results in job motivation amongst the

Keratinases from microorganisms have attracted a great deal of
attention due to their multitude of industrial applications. The
most promising application of Keratinases/ Keratinolytic
microorganisms is the production of nutritious, cost-effective,
environmentally benign feather meal for poultry. In the present
investigation an Isolate RS1 was emerged as a best candidate to be
utilized in waste management of keratin wastes, leather, detergent
and X ray film recycling. Thus, the strain and its enzyme can be
utilized in the bioremediation of keratinolytic wastes for the
production of fertilizer, poultry feed and also to solve the "Solid
waste problem" created by these wastes. Complete dehairing of the
skin and other important applications were also achieved with
enzyme in this present study.
The present study was conducted at the Dr. N.E. Borlaug's Crop
Research Centre, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and
Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand, India with an objective to
evaluate the effects of different N doses on growth dynamic,
morphological, physiological parameters and nitrogen use efficiency
in five genotypes of rice. The field experiment was conducted
during rainy season of 2008 and 2009. Five rice genotypes (KRH-2-
hybrid, Vasumati- aromatic, Tulsi, Kasturi and Krishna Hamsa- high
yielding) were used as experimental material. The N fertilizer 0,
50, 100 and 200N kg ha-1 was sprouted in the field. The growth
parameters were recorded at time of panicle initiation, maximum
tillering and reproductive stage. The growth as well as
physiological parameters and guttative fluid increases as the
nitrogen levels increased. The grain and biological yieldalso
increased with increasing nitrogen levels. The application of
nitrogen fertilizers also affected the nitrogen and protein content
of leaves, seeds and the soil significantly. The NUE increased up
to N100 level and found to be highest for KRH-2.
