Taygetos extends as 70km of magnificent massif anchoring the
southern tip of Greece. From a dense network of challenging trails,
Anavasi selected routes favoured since antiquity by devotees of
sky-gods or their successor, the Prophet Elijah. Paths wrapped in
glorious nature. Trails that exploit favourable folds in the
trails, or follow the rugged gorges that were until recently the
only gateway to the mountain. Each route has its topo map and
altitude profile, plus duration, distance, degree of difficulty,
vegetation, sights, and links to ther trails. Photographs and a
route description enrich the picture. Find out how the ancient
Spartans carved out wagon roads to conquer Greece's most dramatic
mountain 2500 years ago, by Proffessor Yanis Pikoulas. The map is
printed on Polyart paper and is placed in a removable folder.

The new Agrafa map covers for the first time the entire Agrafa
mountain range. Agrafa is a sea of rugged, uninhabited mountains
that stun the viewer and move the climber. Amidst the daunting
backdrop of aerial ridges and deep ravines, Anasavi cartographers
walked and recorded small and long hikes marked on the map, and
outlined on the back. In the area of Northern Thessaly Agrafa, the
suggested routes of the map come from the very active Karditsa
Mountaineering club.

dolphins and whales of the Greek Seas as well as an identification
and field guide. It includes information on their geographical
distribution, on how to find, study and identify dolphins and
whales that are regularly observed in Greek waters. The book is a
result of Zafiropoulos' 12 years of field research, experiences and
adventures; it's an account of close encounters with Striped
Dolphins, a Fin Whale at Khorinthiakos Gulf, of fieldwork with the
Bottlenose Dolphins of Amvrakikos, and of observations of the
endangered Common Dolphins. Full of photographs and in-depth
illustrations of dolphin and whale species, the guide is ideal for
any one with the intention of having a close encounter with these
animals either in Greek waters or abroad.
