Horror based on the true story of a family haunted by a poltergeist in Yorkshire in the late 1960s. The film, set in 1974, follows Len (Steven Waddington) and Jenny Maynard (Kate Ashfield) and their daughter, Sally (Tasha Connor), as they discover their new home is plagued by a paranormal being. Sally is attacked by the poltergeist on numerous occasions and the family attempt to exorcise the demon from their house but will this rid them of the evil or only make matters worse?

In 'Friend of the Devil' the duo look into two murders that appear to be connected despite one having taken place in the city while the second body was found in the countryside. As the detectives make headway in the case, Annie reveals a dark secret about her past. In 'Cold Is the Grave' the daughter of Chief Superintendant Gerry Rydell (Colin Tierney) goes missing and the pressure is on Banks to find her.

Finally, in 'Innocent Graves', the strangling of a wealthy financier's 16-year-old daughter unearths a complex web of lies and secrets for Banks to solve.
