Horror film based on the 1978 'video nasty' shocker of the same
name. Sarah Butler stars as Jennifer, a writer who retreats to a
cabin in the woods to begin work on her new book. While there, she
is brutally raped by a group of local men whom she encountered en
route to the cabin. The attack escalates and Jennifer only narrowly
escapes with her life - but survive she does, and returns to the
locale to carry out the most gruesome revenge on her attackers that
she can possibly devise.

Historical drama starring Patrick Stewart and Glenn Close. In 1183,
after the death of his eldest son, King Henry II (Stewart) must
decide which of his three remaining sons will succeed him. As the
time for him to announce his successor approaches, Henry frees his
imprisoned wife, Eleanor of Aquitaine (Close), who he held captive
after she plotted to overthrow him. It soon becomes clear, however,
that Eleanor favours first child Richard (Andrew Howard), while
Henry sees his youngest, John (Rafe Spall), as the next in line
but, in the weeks ahead, the King begins to have serious doubts if
any of his sons are capable of becoming the new ruler.
Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not
used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad
quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are

Globalization and Change: The Transformation of Global Capitalism
explores the origins, development, and transformation of
globalization from a critical and historical perspective. Berch
Berberoglu brings together eight essays authored by prominent
sociological scientists from across the nation that examine the
dynamics of globalization through an analysis of class relations
and class struggles that define the contemporary global political
economy. By undertaking a careful examination of the contradictions
inherent in capitalist globalization, this book provides a thorough
understanding of the issues behind the global capitalist economy
and the struggle against globalization, while at the same time
offering a viable solution to the growing exploitation of labor
throughout the world. This study on global capitalism, informed by
class analysis, is essential to anyone interested in the political
implications of globalization and the unfolding class struggles.

Robotics is undergoing a major transformation in scope and
dimension. From a largely dominant industrial focus, robotics is
rapidly expanding into human en- ronments and vigorously engaged in
its new challenges. Interacting with, assi- ing, serving, and
exploring with humans, the emerging robots will increasingly touch
people and their lives. Beyond its impact on physical robots, the
body of knowledge robotics has p- duced is revealing a much wider
range of applications reaching across diverse research areas and
scientific disciplines, such as: biomechanics, haptics, neuros-
ences, virtual simulation, animation, surgery, and sensor networks
among others. In return, the challenges of the new emerging areas
are proving an abundant source of stimulation and insights for the
field of robotics. It is indeed at the int- section of disciplines
that the most striking advances happen. The Springer Tracts in
Advanced Robotics (STAR) is devoted to bringing to the research
community the latest advances in the robotics field on the basis of
their significance and quality. Through a wide and timely
dissemination of critical - search developments in robotics, our
objective with this series is to promote more exchanges and
collaborations among the researchers in the community and c-
tribute to further advancements in this rapidly growing field.
A liquid bridge is a volume of liquid held between two or more
solid supports. In the case of small disk supports with a sharp
edge, the contact line between the bridge and the support disk will
be anchored along the edge of the disk. For these cases the solid
presents a geometrical singularity and the contact angle is
indeterminate within a given range. This dissertation presents
research conducted on liquid bridges with anchored contact lines.
The three major topics covered are: determining the role of support
geometry on static equilibria, liquid bridge dynamical behavior,
and forces exerted by a liquid bridge on a support structure. The
work was primarily experimental and conducted in a "Plateau tank"
that allowed for the simulation of equivalent low-gravity
conditions. The main thrust of the experimental work involved the
use of a high resolution optical measurement system for imaging the
dynamic zone shape, measurement of the static and dynamic contact
angles and non-invasive analysis of excited surface modes. The
liquid bridge was manipulated by computer controlled linear
actuators which allowed precise control over the physical
characteristics of the bridge. Experiments have been carried out to
locate a bifurcation point along the maximum volume axisymmetric
stability margin. Below the critical slenderness the bifurcation
from an axisymmetric to a stable nonaxisymmetric configuration is
supercritical. However, above this critical slenderness, the
bifurcation is subcritical. A series of experiments analyzed the
effect on axisymmetric bridge stability by using support disks of
different radii, The shape behavior as transition points were
approached, as well as the limiting case of a vanishing support
radius was investigated. Experiments were performed to determine
the resonant frequencies of axisymmetric bridges subject to lateral
vibrations. Anomolous results led to a series of experiments to
characterize nonlinearities present in the dynamic bridge shape.
