This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Third Multidisciplinary International Symposium on Disinformation in Open Online Media, MISDOOM 2021, held in September 2021. The conference was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 9 full papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 27 submissions. The papers focus on health misinformation, hate speech, misinformation diffusion, news spreading behaviour and mitigation, harm-aware news recommender systems.

One of the greatest things about being human is that we get to experience a wide range of experiences. Sure, sometimes we're hit with low periods that make us question everything. We also have the high periods - the feeling of new love, the first warm day out of winter; the feeling you get when your favorite song comes on the radio. While they don't feel like it at the time, low periods certainly have their value. They make way for revelations, wisdom, rebirth. Personally, I love to operate under the belief that "everything happens for our highest good." When "bad" things are happening, I like to think that it's because it's making way for a great learning lesson or an even bigger blessing. That's what this book is about. You're going to read stories of people overcoming mind-bending hardship and coming to the other side much stronger. Some of the things people in this book went through are unthinkable. But they got through it - and when you read, hopefully you realize that you can get through anything too. This book will help you peek into the fabric of peoples' souls. You'll hear their stories, feel inspired, and realize that we're all in this together. It is my hope that as tough things come up in your life, you'll think back to a story you read here and realize that there's hope on the other side.

In her effort at discipline she all but obliterated herself from die tale. She neglected, for instance, to note the fact of her birth, and the date had to be inserted by her editors. More remarkably, she very nearly eliminated her own mother in a kind of biographical suttee. Mrs. George was by all indications a woman of unusual strength and nobility, but, although she was my mothers constant companion, a real paucity of incident il lustrates her memory. One gathers what she was by reflection in her husbands life and through his letters. It is in the family traditions, however, and in my mothers character that one must look for the fantasy and liveliness of spirit that I believe were hers. Henry George had heartiness, but his wife had drollery, caprice, and the delicate conceits to make all family occurrences festivals of charming invention. It was she who danced like a sprite and loved music for its own sake he believed all art should serve a moral purpose. It was she who thought the graces of life worth time and energy, as it was only she, tff course, who had the time to foster them.
