"Was ist Lagerliteratur?" lautet die Frage, der die Beitrage
nachgehen, die in diesem Band versammelt sind. In drei Sektionen
fragen die Beitrager*innen nach den asthetischen Spezifika der
Literatur aus Lagern und Ghettos, stellen bisher wenig erforschte
Lagertexte vor und diskutieren didaktische Dimensionen der
Auseinandersetzung mit Lagertexten. Der Band verfolgt das Ziel,
Lagerliteratur als einen eigenstandigen asthetischen Komplex zu
profilieren und sein Verhaltnis zur Holocaustliteratur genauer zu
bestimmen. Lagerliteratur wird dabei als ein vielstimmiger
literarisch-kultureller Kommunikationsprozess und als ein pluraler
Diskurs vorgestellt, der immer auch die Reflexion daruber
einschliesst, wie diese Literatur sein kann und sein sollte. In
diesem Sinne ist die Frage "Was ist Lagerliteratur?" als eine noch
offene zu verstehen und der Band als eine Einladung, sich mit ihr
zu beschaftigen.
