The Dalek Invasion of Earth is over, but there’s still so much
left to do. Susan is trying to help rebuild society as best she
can, but some people don’t see it as a chance to restore what was
lost. Some people see it as a chance to claim power for themselves.
It's not just human survivors that Susan has to worry about.
Unbeknownst to her, a lone Dalek survives. A lone Dalek with a
single purpose – to reclaim the Earth! Cast: Carole Ann Ford
(Susan Foreman), Lucy Briers (Jenny Chaplin), Sean Biggerstaff
(David Campbell), Jonathan Guy Lewis (Marcus Bray), Oli Higginson
(Victor Chaplin), Nicholas Briggs (The Daleks). Other parts played
by members of the cast.
In 1484, William Caxton, the first publisher of English-language
books, issued The Golden Legend, a translation of the most
well-known collection of saints' lives in Europe. This study
analyzes the molding of the Legenda aurea into a book that
powerfully attracted the English market. Modifications included not
only illustrations and changes in the arrangement of chapters, but
also the addition of lives of British saints and translated
excerpts from the Bible, showing an appetite for vernacular
scripture and stories about England's past. The publication history
of Caxton's Golden Legend reveals attitudes towards national
identity and piety within the context of English print culture
during the half century prior to the Henrician Reformation.
First full analysis of John Mirk's Festial, of particular
importance for the evidence it offers for the debate over medieval
heresy and orthodoxy. `Marvellously perceptive and insightful'.
FIONA SOMERSET, Duke University.Written with largely uneducated
rural congregations in mind, John Mirk's Festial became the most
popular vernacular sermon collection of late-medieval England, yet
until relatively recently it has been neglected by scholars --
despite the fact that the question of popular access to the Bible,
undoubtedly regarded as the preserve of learned culture, along with
the related issue of the relative authority of written text and
tradition, is at the heart of both late-medieval heresy and the
resultant reformulation of orthodoxy. It offers, in fact, an
unparalleled opportunity to analyze the religious ideology
communicated by the orthodox church to the vast majority of people
in fourteenth-century England: the ordinary country folk. This book
represents the first major examination of the Festial, looking in
particular at the issues of popular culture and piety; the oral
tradition; biblical and secular authority; and clerical power. JUDY
ANN FORD is Associate Professor in the History Department of Texas
A&M University-Commerce.

In 2014, Big Finish started a new range of Doctor Who stories,
bringing back original cast members from the 1960s eras in order to
tell new stories: they're audio tales in black and white! The
TARDIS materialises on board a still and eerie spaceship. When a
squad of soldiers land, they realise they've found themselves in
the middle of a war zone. With one of their crew trapped by the
enemy, the Doctor and his friends find themselves locked in a
desperate race for survival. Vast warships manoeuvre around each
other as both sides try to out-think their opponents, flying into
ever more dangerous areas of space. The stakes could not be higher.
But as ever in war, the lines between good and evil are hard to
define. Will anyone survive to claim the moral high ground? This
range of era-authentic new stories has been hugely popular with
fans, with a further two series already commissioned! Carole Ann
Ford and William Russell return to play characters from the very
first Doctor Who story in 1963 - the Doctor's companions Susan and
Ian.Actor Jemma Powell is familiar to Doctor Who fans for her role
as Jacqueline Hill in 2013's drama-mentary about the origins of

the original companion Barbara, a role Jemma now takes on. CAST:
Carole Ann Ford (Susan/Narrator), William Russell (Ian/The Doctor),
Jemma Powell (Barbara), Rachel Atkins (Myla), John Voce (Toban),
Gethin Anthony (Olivan), Andy Secombe (Benya), Tom Bell
(Arran/Shift).

Carole Ann Ford reads this classic TV novelisation featuring the
First Doctor, as played on TV by William Hartnell. The Doctor is
feeling confident: this time the TARDIS has landed on Earth; in
England; in 1963. But when he and his companions Susan, Ian and
Barbara venture outside, they are soon lost in a maze of ravines
and menaced by gigantic insects. However, the insects are dying -
every living thing is dying... Meanwhile, in a cottage garden on a
perfect summer's day, the man from the Ministry arrives to put a
stop to the production of DN6, a pesticide with the power to
destroy all life-forms. But the men who invented DN6 will stop at
nothing-not even murder-in their desire to see DN6 succeed. Can the
one-inch-tall Doctor foil their plans? Carole Ann Ford, who played
Susan in the original TV series, reads Terrance Dicks's
novelisation. Duration: 2 hours 30 mins approx
Four new stories from the First Doctor's era: 1. E is For... by
Julian Richards. All is not right on the planet Malkus. Every day
more and more monstrosities are born; people with powers and
abilities far beyond those of normal men and women. They call these
people "the Gifted." And Susan has become one of them. Separated
from her friends in a Police State dedicated to hunting people like
her, Susan finds herself in a prison which has destroyed countless
lives. And at its centre, at its heart, waiting, is the most
dangerous monster of all... 2. The Crumbling Magician by Guy Adams.
The TARDIS has crashed, its passengers in a bad way. The Doctor,
not in the best of health anyway, his old body wearing somewhat
thin, is in a coma, Ben unconscious. As for Polly, she's been
affected worst of all. Time is running in the wrong order for her
and she's seen the future, a future in which she's mortally
wounded. But will Continuity allow her to die? 3. The Vardan
Invasion of Earth by Paul Morris and Ian Atkins. The Doctor and
Steven think they've arrived in London 1956, but the TARDIS
disagrees. When both the Doctor and his craft are lost, it's down
to Steven to solve a mystery that holds his fate in its grasp. With
the help of comic Teddy Baxter, Steven's going to have to find a
way into Television. 4. The Crumbling Magician by Guy Adams The

This book gives you the sex, love and relationship advice, for the
"walking on eggshells" people - Borderlines. Unlike a textbook,
this book is full of examples that are (1) based on real-life
research, (2) very easy to read, and (3) that you can successfully
apply to your life. You'll be delighted at how much control you can
take back in your life, whether the Borderlines are spouses, lovers
or family members. Find out if you are one of those people who
actually experienced child abuse, growing up with Borderlines in
your household, you may find it hard to trust, and unfamiliar to
love other people, as an adult. Borderlines are difficult people
because they have angry outbursts, which cause others to tip-toe
around them. They love to stir up drama, but (1) they can be very
fun and charming, (2) many are financially successful, and (3)
there are a LOT of them around. Use the book's tested tips to stop
"walking on eggshells" (1) in love relationships, (2) when
controlling the amount of contact with Borderlines, and (3) when
you want to disengage from Borderlines.
