The story spans over seventy years and begins with Gwen, a Hollywood starlet who is trying to overcome a horrific childhood and find love in a town that is known for disastrous relationships. Her daughter, Vicky, grows up in her mother's shadow and comes of age in the free love era of the 1960's. Vicky's daughter, Jenna, must come to terms with the choices of her free spirited mother without becoming a victim. Simple Pleasures follows these women as they look for love and try to build relationships with each other all while trying to leave their own mark in the acting world.
