This Dictionary of Language Testing was written over a number of years by a group of researchers at the Language Testing Research Centre at the University of Melbourne. It contains some 600 entries, each listed under a headword with extensive cross-referencing. It is intended for those who may or may not have had experience in the field of language assessment but who do have a need for information. This Dictionary is intended as a first stage in meeting that need, and intends to provide an orientation and, where appropriate, indicate where next to look.

It is the desire of Annie that Christians work through their pervasive issues before the end of life so that the transition between death and eternity can be smooth and not cluttered with unresolved issues. While this aspect is important, it is also vital that Christians are sure that they are doing all that they can to be strong and steady in order to help others as we get closer to the return of Christ.
It is going to be of vital importance in these last days that Christians know that they are rooted and grounded in the Word of God and that they are filled with the Holy Spirit. Why? Because there will be an influx of individuals coming into our midst who will challenge the very core of what Christians believe. To be able to stand firm and declare the truth, we must get prepared for this great harvest. The Scripture has declared that God's Words are truth and they are life. In order to help others in the Body of Christ it is time for those who profess having the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to stop picking flowers by the wayside and get in a position to help others as we "watch" for the soon coming "King" to come and gather his jewels.

Have you looked in the mirror recently? Was the person looking back at you the person you used to be or are you not sure who is starring back at you. Sometimes during the course of life we allow ourselves to become what society says we ought to be. Society and it's norms should not be how we define ourselves. God has made each one of us to be unqiuely different and special in our own right. When we take the time to examine ourselves we may be surprised how much of the real us is gone. Physically we disfigured ourselves or made ourselves sick trying to measure up to how society says we ought to look or be. Who I Be is personal. It is time that we focus on who and how God intended for us to be. We were fearfully and wonderfully made and we should find satisfaction in being made in God's image and not who or what society says we should be. Our physical, emotional, mental, and financial status does not make us. Who I Be is about the person who can be themselves and not be stressed or anixous about becoming another product of circumstances or norms to be wholly.

This volume includes selected papers from the 28th Language Testing Research Colloquium, held at the University of Melbourne (Australia) in July 2006. The papers selected for this volume share a common theme -- that of 'performance'. Not only do they focus on performance assessments of second or foreign language speaking and writing, but they also focus on the performance of the participants -- the candidate (or candidates) and the raters -- and the construction of that performance through the tasks and the assessment criteria.
