This book aims through 11 chapters discussing the problems and
challenges and some future research points from the recent
technologies point of view such as artificial intelligence and the
Internet of things (IoT) that can help the environment and
healthcare sectors reducing COVID-19.
Andreas Anter reconstructs Max Weber's fragmentary theory of the
modern state showing its relationship to contemporary theories and
its significance for today's political science. The book consists
of six chapters: The first analyses Weber's concept of the state,
the second relates the theory of the state to the sociology of rule
and domination, the third and fourth discuss Weber's hermeneutics
and his doctrine of value-judgements, the fifth deals with the
history of the modern state, and the final chapter focuses on
Weber's metaphor of the state as 'machine'. Anter reveals the
ambivalence of Weber's political thought: the oscillation between
an etatiste position, mainly oriented to the reason of state, and
an individualistic one, focussed on the freedom of individuals. He
shows how much worse off we would be without Weber's theory, not at
least by indicating its impact upon later authors.
Currently, informatics within the field of public health is a
developing and growing industry. Clinical informatics are used in
direct patient care by supplying medical practitioners with
information that can be used to develop a care plan. Intelligent
applications in clinical informatics facilitates with the
technology-based solutions to analyze data or medical images and
help clinicians to retrieve that information. Decision models aid
with making complex decisions especially in uncertain situations.
The Handbook of Research on Applied Intelligence for Health and
Clinical Informatics is a comprehensive reference book that focuses
on the study of resources and methods for the management of
healthcare infrastructure and information. This book provides
insights on how applied intelligence with deep learning,
experiential learning, and more will impact healthcare and clinical
information processing. The content explores the representation,
processing, and communication of clinical information in natural
and engineered systems. This book covers a range of topics
including applied intelligence, medical imaging, telehealth, and
decision support systems, and also looks at technologies and tools
used in the detection and diagnosis of medical conditions such as
cancers, diabetes, heart disease, lung disease, and prenatal
syndromes. It is an essential reference source for diagnosticians,
medical professionals, imaging specialists, data specialists, IT
consultants, medical technologists, academicians, researchers,
industrial experts, scientists, and students.
Colour and Light: Spatial Experience describes the coherent
interaction of light and colour in the spatial context. It explains
the nature of light to colour specialists, and the nature of colour
to light specialists, simultaneously conveying an understanding
that light and colour must be thought of together. In addition, it
brings out the apparent contradictions between the practically
based knowledge of craftsmen, engineers and designers, and the
theoretically based knowledge of academics in various disciplines.
Including background context, facts and possible approaches, the
book provides a basic understanding of light and colour, and their
significance for humans in the spatial context.

Brandenburgs. Der "Brandenburger Weg", der auf Konsens und
Integration politischer und gesellschaftlicher Gruppen setzt, wird
vielfach als Erfolgsmodell des Systemwechsels und Lehre aus der
friedlichen Revolution begriffen. Oder handelt es sich hier um
einen Mythos?
