For this new anthology, Anthony Bonner has chosen central texts from his two-volume compilation, "Selected Works of Ramon Llull". These works serve as an introduction to the life and writings of the Catalan (properly, Majorcan) philosopher and mystic, theologian, and martyr, who lived from 1232 to 1316. Founder of a school of Arabic and other languages, Llull was also a poet and novelist and one of the creators of literary Catalan. This volume contains prefaces on Llull's life, thought and reputation. Of Llull's works, it offers "Book of the Gentile and the Three Wise Men", his seminal Christian apology; the "Ars brevis", a summary of his philosophical system; "The Book of the Lover and the Beloved", a celebration of mystical love in the courtly tradition; and his scathing "Book of the Beasts", an excerpt from a narrative widely acknowledged to be the source of George Orwell's imagery in "Animal Farm".

The autobiography of an influential medieval Catalan intellectual. Ramon Llull was a highly original medieval writer and thinker. Direct contact with Moslem culture during his early years in Majorca, soon after the Christian reconquest, furnished him with a vision of the "Other" quite unique among medieval European intellectuals. It was not, however, until his thirties that he abandoned the courtly life, immersed himself in theological and philosophical studies and began his sustained campaign of conversion. He travelledon many occasions throughout Europe in search of royal and papal support and undertook several missions to north Africa, in the course of one of which he was stoned and imprisoned. Despite his many travels he found time to compose more than 260 works, in Catalan and Latin, many of which related to his famous "Art", a method for religious discussion with scientific and logical applications that subsequently influenced Giordano Bruno and Liebniz. When he was almost eighty years old, Llull dictated the story of his life to a group of Carthusians in Paris, leaving us this fascinating autobiography. Welcome Back! Before we get started, I got to say this. "Y'all some sick individuals requesting this follow-up to "Ladies, What's Wrong With You Now?" called "You Going to Jail Tonight, Bitch!" This book sprang out of the overwhelming response to Chapter 8. If you didn't read it, you're going to be lost. It's just like missing an episode of "Empire" or "As The World Turns." I tried not to leave anyone out. The old game of man versus woman has created billionaires. The proverbial "GOOD MAN" and living happily ever after is always after. This time I'm going to tell it from an O.G. perspective (The O. G. 411 before 911). I hope the contents of this book helps the younger generation. The ways of a woman are unknown but here are some warning signs to let you know when to get the hell out of her way. This book takes a look at ignorance and tolerance. What people do for money is bliss. The misuse of power, unknowingly or knowingly, contributes to a greater evil. No excuses, please.

Our kids suffer when it's all said and done, thereby leaving us elderly and alone in the time when we need family support in the end. The numbers are climbing exponentially before our eyes.
