A gang of women posing as nuns are operating a successful shoplifting racket. The trouble is that at home in their convent they have to look the part, and when two nuns seeking accommodation appear at the door they can't turn them away. However, the newcomers aren't what they seem either.7 women

Four women arrive at Del Sol on a package tour. They find themselves stranded in a workman's hut on the site of their hotel, which is not even constructed yet. Determined not to let their husbands know that they have been conned, they decide not to return home and determinedly try to make the best of everything. It is, however, far from easy!5 women

The Middle East. In an attic room a group of terrorists hold a young girl, Naomi, and wait while the Government decides whether or not to pay the ransom. The building is surrounded by troops and there can be no escape for the kidnappers - but still they hold their prisoner. The tension between the two terrorists heightens and Brother Luis tries to intervene: inevitably, tragedy overtakes them.2 women, 2 men

Three women are waiting in a cellar. One is a captain in an organization pledged to bring freedom to the city, which is in the throes of a struggle for power; another is a witness; the third is an informer in the coming trial. A frightened girl is brought in and severely questioned regarding her alleged betrayal to the authorities of hidden stocks of ammunition. She is acquitted of betrayal but led away to be punished for fraternization. The proceedings have, however, uncovered the guilt of another woman present-the informer herself.5 women

Scathing black comedy about love, sex, family, murder, incest and revenge, based on the 17th-century play by Shakespeare contemporary Thomas Middleton and transposed by subversive British director Alex Cox to a post-apocalyptic Liverpool. After ten years in hiding, Vindici (Christopher Eccleston) returns to destroy the Duke (Derek Jacobi) who murdered Vindici's wife on their wedding day. During his absence, Vindici's family fell into poverty - while the Duke, Duchess and their decadent sons acquired wealth and power, ruling over their court obsessed with transient beauty, money, inherited privilege and power. Determined to exact his revenge, Vindici sets out to gain the confidence of the Duke and his villainous heir, Lussurioso (Eddie Izzard). The film was screened at the 2002 Locarno Film Festival.
