In this tract, Dr Ruston presents analogues for operators on Banach
spaces of Fredholm's solution of integral equations of the second
kind. Much of the presentation is based on research carried out
over the last twenty-five years and has never appeared in book form
before. Dr Ruston begins with the construction for operators of
finite rank, using Fredholm's original method as a guide. He then
considers formulae that have structure similar to those obtained by
Fredholm, using, and developing further, the relationship with
Riesz theory. In particular, he obtains bases for the
finite-dimensional subspaces figuring in the Riesz theory. Finally
he returns to the study of specific constructions for various
classes of operators. Dr Ruston has made every effort to keep the
presentation as elementary as possible, using arguments that do not
require a very advanced background. Thus the book can be read with
profit by graduate students as well as specialists working in the
general area of functional analysis and its applications.

Three Great Authors-Three Great Science Fiction Stories
A Strand In the Web
New York Times Bestselling Fantasy Author Anne Bishop makes her
U.S. debut in Science Fiction with this engaging futuristic
novella. The Restorers travel the universe fulfilling a purpose
handed down through the generations. They live and die aboard
city-ships, never knowing the worlds they create and save. What
begins as a disastrous training exercise in creating and balancing
ecosystems becomes an unexpected fight for survival. The only hope
may be the secret project of an untried Restorer team.
A Host Of Leeches
Award winning author James Alan Gardner pens a wonderfully
imaginative tale in which a young woman wakes to find herself the
sole human on an orbiting, mechanical space station. To find a way
home, she must navigate the dangerous politics of war between
opposing robot leaders.
Stranded
Popular urban fantasy writer Anthony Francis (Dakota Frost,
Skindancer series) explores a clash of ethics and survival when a
young, genetically engineered centauress from the ultra-advanced
Alliance lays claim to a rare, strategic garden planet, only to
find herself captured by a band of rag-tag Frontier refugees who've
crashed their vintage ship on her unexpectedly hostile world.
This is a new release of the original 1943 edition.

Book Two in the Skindancer series.
Dakota Frost is back, and the ink is about to hit the fan-again.
Graffiti comes to life in the dark heart of Atlanta's oldest
cemetery, slaying one of the city's best loved vampires before the
eyes of his friend Dakota Frost. Deadly magick is at work on the
city's walls, challenging even the amazing power of Dakota's
tattoos to contain it. The hungry, graffiti magick loves to kill,
and the Edgeworld is no longer safe from its own kind.
Dakota begins a harrowing journey to save those she loves and to
discover the truth behind the spreading graffiti-even if that truth
offends the vampires, alienates the werekin and creates police
suspicion of her every action.
Saving Atlanta may cost her everything, including custody of her
"adopted" weretiger daughter, Cinnamon. But failure is not an
option. If the graffiti isn't stopped, Cinnamon could be the next
victim.
Epic Award winner Anthony Francis writes the Skindancer series
while working fulltime for "that famous search engine whose name
begins with a 'G'."
